The man known as DJ Nature holds a long and illustrious list of releases that spans all the way back to the early 90's, when, as "Nature Boy", the Bristol born DJ and producer was carving out sample heavy house music for labels like Ruff Disco Records and the Underworld affiliated Tomato label.
His relatively modern re-incarnation, as DJ Nature, has seen singles and two albums come correct on revered labels like Golf Channel Recordings and Jazzy Sport.
Following on from Futureboogie’s landmark 50th release, DJ Nature drops a heavyweight four track EP on the Bristol label, each track promising and delivering Summertime vibes in abundance. 
“Born Lifted”, with its deft guitar licks and soulful vocal chops over lazy, hazy beats, is a great example of the Nature aesthetics that make his tracks so very popular across the house fraternity. “My Life” picks up the pace, deploying granite hard snares and cosmic chords with dusted vocal samples. 
On the flip, “What It Isn’t” packs some jazz chops with its sampled pianos and saxophone riffs over a discordant beat that swings with the best of them, whilst EP closer premiered here“Loving U More” again serves up some delicious summertime grooves with the perfect marriage of deep, funky bass and seductive samples.

The noise was deafening, the waterfall elegant beneath the summer rays. A rainbow began to form up high above, the water spray merging beautifully with the fresh air of the African outback. There were many people gathered here yet few actually spent the time to meditate beneath one of God's greatest creations. A thing of beauty lost and ignored between the glow and buzz of smart phones and cameras. 

Fontän is remixed on a new EP by several artists which include the likes of Timothy J Fairplay, Khidja and Mythologen. Each take on tracks from his recent album on Höga Nord and offer alternate versions. We nominated the Red Axes remix to feature.

One of this years producers to watch list for me and one you should be keepin an eye out on. After a long hiatus, Bay Area producer and label stalwart Go Yama returns with a triumphant full-length release. Following a period of internal struggle with the realities of creating art in the digital age, the genre-bending producer has turned inward, tearing down and rebuilding his creative approach. This re-imagining of the Go Yama sound has brought one of his deepest creative driving forces to the forefront of his music: the need to cultivate a sense of exploration and curiosity about life.

Naturally, ‘The Exploration’ LP is the culmination of this realisation paired with a surge of unbridled creativity. Through tireless and unfettered experimentation, the producer allowed themes, narratives, and connections in the music to make themselves apparent through the process of creation, rather than dictating them from the start; the album is essentially a snapshot of Go Yama crystallising his own musical ‘truth’. Additionally, his interest in anime / manga culture is apparent in the sculpting of samples and soundscapes throughout the album. Fuelled by bouncy basslines, sweeping guitar riffs, a collage of found sounds, and a pervasive soulful streak, the sonic world of Go Yama is perched in the middle of a web of genres and styles, taking inspiration from all but never being tied down to any. With guest appearances by current movers like Mike Gao, Flamingosis, Elaquent and Ruff Draft, ‘The Exploration’ takes us on a journey deeper into this world than ever before, and it is a truly awe-inspiring ride.
