Superb clarinet... lost sadly... Class !!

This music is inspirational and blissful all at the same time, thank you.

We have lost Michel.  Despite a heroic and valiant effort to overcome colon cancer, our special friend and extraordinary musician Michel Martineau has passed.  I am writing this with tears in my eyes and his music playing behind me.  

Life is fleeting and this moment is a reminder that we must all live with the joy and melody and harmony that Michel found and fostered, despite his documented and discussed fight.  Let's look to his music today and also in the future - even more now that we ever have.  He has left a deep and profound set of recordings with his "Celebrating Life with Friends" collection, as well as so many other wonderful pieces.   We will remember Michel as one of SoundCloud's most important voices, a rare clarinetist here, a fantastic improviser and creative spirit, who brought excellence to everything he and others touched, and who nurtured that musical spirt with his daughter Charlotte, a very gifted violinist. Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.
