How cool to get the burning side of superb instrumentalists Craig Schmoller on guitar and William Paasche on keyboards.  These guys know so much music and in this original, break out some crazy chops to battle.  Craig is fusion guitar veteran, cutting his chops in the Chicago '80s music scene.  Such deep knowledge of modes and rhythm - check out his instructional videos on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/user/grov6land - and showcases so much here.  Only 20 year of age and studying music at a top conservatory in Norway, William is off the charts with his synth soloing, as well as his beautiful piano explorations.  Follow both of these guys:

Floating - with Alexia Caouette

There's a simple reason guitarist Joe Bongiovanni has been a many time finalist in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis - his sound.  Few play blues guitar as Joe can, laying his heart on his sleeve in as little as one note.  It's in the attack, the bend and the choice of notes.   Always understated and with more emotion than a weeping child.  Joe and I have recorded over 20 tunes together, and here's another fine one that showcases his unique sound and ability.

As Hip As They Come

The legendary Leslie Speaker and Amp created the waffling sound of the Hammond organ, which was used in so many great jazz and blues and rock ensembles and recordings.  Introduced in the 60's, it was  strong competition to a Marshall stack, and also held its own in a jazz club.  What a warm sound that the Leslie created.  You'll recognize it in the middle part of this jazzy, Hammond driven original.

Vivek Patel is a monster trumpet player and musician, and I was thrilled when he jumped in with Mirko, me and many other jazz players on a tribute to Miles Davis we recorded several years ago.  The fantastic and always grooving Mirko Borach - aka Stringburner - once again anchors the electric bass here.  Vivek's horn playing is exceptional...his beautiful haunting tone, his inside and outside playing as Miles did.  And Mirko's funky slap bass playing is tight and nasty.
