Both the US and the rest of the world will be influenced forever by tomorrow's US election.  This collection includes so many of my favorite musicians, who have joined me the last year, as we have felt together the unrest, the lies and deceit from our current Republican administration. Constitutional Crisis

The Netherland's incredible Rients Draissma tears up our blues rock original Change It Up.   He's simply one of the finest guitar players we've heard, pushing sound, rhythm and harmony. Italian recording artist Daniele Turani http://www.danieleturani.com joins me here on our original, Constitution.  Love his musical interpretation as his great guitar and whammy bar complements the heavy synth lead, world textures, and trap beats.  The title of the tune speaks to the struggles we are having in the US as our party in charge continues to recklessly tear down the historical centuries old laws upon which our country was framed.

Annie's such a complete musician, having grown up in a truly musical family that has been carried on for generations.  She's now a choir director and piano teacher, and has created such great lines and harmonies to tell the story.  Alec's only 21, yet years ahead in his maturity and vision. There's a lot of uncertainty across the world, and our new original What's Ahead searches for an understanding.  Joining me are the highly accomplished William Paasche on synths and Mirko Borach on fretless bass.  William is only two years into his conservatory studies, but has already achieved a performance and creative ability so few have.  He takes the superb synth solo with such a unique sound, exploring the uncertainty.  Stringburner is doing his beautiful thing behind the scenes with moving harmony, rhythm and beautiful tone. What's Ahead  - Mirko Borach / William Paasche / Jamie Rhind

David and I go way back to Hamilton College in the early 80s, where we were both musicians.  But David was in the rock bands at big fraternity parties, making it far cooler than my woodwind quintet on clarinet and jazz band pianist.  I recently asked David to join me on our Two Political Blues - and all he did was add about 7 tracks on synths, beats and guitars.   
To quote David "This one digs back deep to college relationships with another collaboration on Too Political Blues. David Schleifer and Jamie Rhind worked on this instrumental ultimately reaching a very different result from Jamie’s collaboration with Alan Schulman. This highlights how the same sources can be interpreted in different ways, hopefully helping us learn to listen better in the real world. 
“With a degree in music and years of playing in the behind me, I am grateful for the push from Jamie to record again. It was a lot of fun to tease out a different approach to this piece of music” - David Schleifer.

Friction - Sam Mendez / Jamie Rhind

Some heavy original funk rock here again.  Joined by three great players - the super funky Stringburner on bass, rock guitarist exceptionale Daniele Turani on guitar, and young keyboard whiz Snuppuluppen on keys.  Exciting to get these guys together again.  The tune started out when I was playing with electric guitar patches on my keyboard, which have gotten so realistic now.  Worked through some power chords and got the players.  Mirko again sets up the deep groove, Will takes the great keyboard solo, followed by Daniele's electric guitar.  Cool music for uncool times.  Things are a mess here.

Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.
