James "Jamie to Blame" Mark is a singer, songwriter and bassist. He is also the co-founder of Bonobos, a Denver-based band. A Denver CO native, he describes his bass guitar style as "flat and thumpy, with a touch of light and funky".

As a talented writer of social conscience pop songs and poems, James made his songwriting debut in college with the boy trio A-III. He later played with the alternative band, The Fringe.

James's latest album is "Half Way Out" (May 2021) and is preceded by his first album, "Jamie to Blame" (July 2019), both of which were works long in progress.

About his songs on "Jamie to Blame", "Coal Miner's Party" is a union song. Country-style "Mama's Boy" is about him and his Mom. The ballad "Blue Law Blues" is about prohibition. Such a wide and varied style make this first project a definite pleasure to enjoy and the new "Half Way Out" is sure to please as well!
