Dear scanners of the internet - at the age of 74 years in sleep, I heard melodies – often with lyrics I had no knowledge of.

Soon after, I met Peter Blackwood the well known Bath entrepreneur of semi professional musicals who helped to get me started and recorded some of my music. He also arranged a concert for my music at the Friends Meeting House in Frenchay, Bristol with 2 friends there providing the linkage at Christmas 2015.

Later in Mangotsfield near Bristol I met Andy Horrel – a gifted song writer who also recorded some of my songs - some with his orchestrations and introduced me to the UK Song Writers Competition in 2012 and 2013 my Afghan War Requiem was considered for the top prize in the classical section. Since then I have written 25 songs. 

Now in my 89th year I would like to complete the list for your perusal - while there is yet time!!
I sang - with a few others - My Vespers for the Fallen - at St Mary’s Church in Bitton near Bristol at last year’s Remembrance Service. In 2012 it was also heard at St. Peters' Parish Church in Royal Wootten Bassett with the then Archbishop of York attending and according to the then minister - well received.

I will also be rerecording tracks with piano accompaniment from my Pianist Friend Ken Dale .

Jamie Jamal is a Bristol-based electronic handbag punk/Singer. As well as releasing his own solo material, Jamie is one half of electronic duo Flux [@fluxmusicuk] and electronic pick n mix outfit This Human Condition [@This-Human-Condition]. Jamie has performed at the Glastonbury Festival and been played on BBC6 Music.  He has also collaborated with artists such as Future Self and Cynthia’s Periscope. Jamie even appears in a recent Boy George Video. 

Jamie is also involved in the underground electronic music scene, putting on showcases at Rough Trade Bristol; as well performing at the touring Electronic Music Open Mic nights (EMOM) across the UK, from Nottingham to Manchester, and London. Black Katt   Brigade  is a  Dark Electro and synth wave  duo   comprised    of Barri Jill  Zahn and Mischa L.  Karnovsky.     We  write the songs  and are the  permanent members of the   group,  but we    like to work   with a  broad  variety of other   vocalists  and artists to   be   able to  create songs in many  different  genres.
