"When I first heard the original of 'Some Good Here' I was instantly hooked - with the world on pause, it was the perfect antidote and tool to allow me to sit back and get lost in the moment.

The vocal performance from Anaphase is outstanding, hence from the outset I knew the vocals were going to take center stage. The original song has two very distinct sections  - there's the more intimate verse that draw you in, and then there's the soaring, higher register sections which lift the track. Trying to keep things as pure as possible I wanted a single sequence/melody - something that would sit along side the vocal and accompany it on its journey.  After much experimenting I ended up using the the Yamaha CS80 - with its slightly wonky pitch and rich character, they turned out to be a great pairing and I am really happy where its landed"

Rinzen ft Anaphase - Some Good Here (John Monkman Remix)

This track was produced 3 years ago in Beirut back when Rani and Elie were still flatmates. In a night of free jamming, Yakumo @yakumo-nightspider added his haunting vocals over the track. However, somehow it got lost in the stacking dust all this time. A month ago, it was recovered from the dust, mixed again and released. 

Caution: don't sing the words out loud, it's a lunar hex.

Here's a pretty straight cover of Protection by Massive Attack I did 6 years ago when trying to woo my now girlfriend, as it's her favourite song. I didn't risk trying to sing so there are no vocals. Also, I stayed up all night playing Resident Evil 4 again from the start to get to the bit where there's a storm so i could sample the rain. All the instruments are real, except the drum machine, obviously.
