"The Hard Trance Revolution has begun..."   Starting with 'Scorpius', Renegade System pretty much took over the Hard Trance scene within 6 months and brought back that true essence of the genre! High demand for his services on every hard trance label worth mentioning and picking up massive support from all the major players from UK to Australia, Europe to USA proved that a new hard trance star was born in 2015.  Coming from a trance background when hard trance was a HUGE part of the trance scene, Thomas felt a strong urge to crossover over into the bigger scene and the support of names such as Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila, Indecent Noise, Mark Sherry, MaRLo and even the godfather of Hard Trance Scot Project showed him this was more than possible!  With releases on many pedigree trance imprints including FSOE, Bonzai, Afterdark, Mental Asylum, Outburst, Damaged, his own Hard Trance Revolution imprint plus various compilation cds including Skullduggery and Afterdark, Thomas continues to pioneer and push his Tech and Hard Trance sound.

He was Scotland’s hottest DJ who grew up in the West End of Glasgow. But Barry Connell’s life was tragically cut short by acute meningitis. Just days before his death in 2008, aged just 27, Barry’s talents were showcased in a Radio 1 Essential Mix. 

Barry, an engineer by day, died ten weeks before he was due to marry his fiancée in Florida. Barry was resident DJ at the legendary Inside Out club night at the former Arches venue in Glasgow and Goodgreef at Tall Trees. He also played at Es Paradis in San Antonio on the dance mecca island of Ibiza. 

At the time of his death, he was regarded as Scotland’s top club DJ.

Now with the launch of his latest label MLXL, gaining rave review in MIXMAG, DJ MAG & IDJ etc along with support from just about every A list DJ on the planet.

Mallorca is focusing more on developing his unique take on Electro, Tech, Trance and the harder side of Dance for his label and debut solo album "XL" smashed and his follow up album "COMPUTER GAMES" has been hailed as "THE FUCKING BEST ALBUM EVER MADE" ! lol 

The multi-talented Producer/DJ/MC has sold over 4 MILLION records worldwide making him, undeniably, Scotland's most enduring and groundbreaking underground DJ/Producer. Having released over seven artist albums and countless singles that have blazed an unmitigated trail thru acid house, rave, hip-hop, rock and pop for almost two decades.

Each week Mallorca takes his energetic DJ/MC performances around the world alongside a wide range of A list DJ's such as Slam, PVD, AVB, SVD, Mauro Picotto, Marco V, Scott Project, Yoji and Tiesto.  (Mallorca's first ever DJ set was at The Ministry Of Sound, London!) At every show, no matter how big the festival or how dark the club we are drawn into his spell and continually reminded how he won his way into our head and hearts, not to mention our record collection, in the first place.
