Press release: Having emerged from a crop of disco flavoured releases and vocal led remixes a couple of years ago, Ashley Casselle and Asadinho decided to embark upon creating a series of stripped down 'housey techno' dj tools to be used as experimental moments within their own podcasts and dj sets. This degree of honesty, and a desire to hark back to the roots of the music that drew them together in the first place, resulted in the sublime and bouncy 'Ceefox'. Grainy 70's b-movie strings atop an addictive bassline equals a subtle yet huge club moment wherever it's played. 

We here at Murge decided to entice these charming deejays to put out this deep and groovesome tune with us. Two remixes come courtesy of new kingpin on the block Jordan Peak, who takes things into a more stomping club arena, and the beautifully glictchy ambience of Julien Mier's headphone friendly interpretation. Finishing off proceeding with Phil Madeiski remix of deep dubby distorted movement. This track is only featured on Vinyl.

I was absolutely delighted, once again, to be asked by premier club promoter Darkbeat to warm up for another brilliant DJ. I had been given warm-up duties for Dave Seaman and follow-on duties for Guti in the past couple of months and enjoyed the challenge of both sets immensely! Danny Howells has got to be one of my favourite DJs in the world. Not only is he one of the loveliest humans you will ever meet, but he has an incredible talent on the decks and an impeccable and diverse taste. His diversity, I think, sets him apart from many others. He masters deepness, epicness, techiness (?) and soulfulness. He is a music lover first and foremost and that shines through in his sets. To warm up for for him, I aimed to get people into a groove, tease them a little and allow Danny to take off in any direction he pleased. I hope you enjoy what I played here for the launch of Danny Howell's Balance mix CD. And thank you Darkbeat for the privilege once again!

On March 31st, Electronic Groove presented one of Miami’s most acclaimed open-air gatherings, Castaway. The event  reunited a group of worldwide renowned artists led by Magit Cacoon, DAVI , Holmar b2b Tara Brooks, and Nikita.

Castaway has been one of Miami’s most successful events series using outdoor venues such as rooftops, yachts and the most famous one, ‘The Island Party’. Leading with their motto ‘Think Outside the Club’, its crew has partnered with Electronic Groove to curate a lineup that showcases some of the hottest talent, closing Miami Music Week with proper vibes.

Supporting this solid lineup are brand residents Kike Roldan, Atomyard and Puma who will be warming and welcoming guests on this distinctive event.

About the venue, Proyecto Tulum is a space where art, gastronomy, mixology, music and fashion merge in one hidden place located in the middle of the Wynwood Art District, beating of Tulum’s vibrations.

It was such a pleasure to open for Andhim at Spybar on our country's birthday... one of those nights when the vibes in the club were just off the charts and everyone was dancing so hard I could literally feel the vibrations in the DJ booth. THANK YOU to everyone who was there and to Andhim for being artists who inspire me. I hope you all enjoy this set, whether it's to relive the night or to experience it for the first time. This one flowed out of me like magic.
