The mid part of a trilogy of vinyl drops to accompany Parts Unknown, Eddie C's CD only album for Endless Flight, commences with the heavy soul stylings of "We Need We". Record buyers of a certain vintage will be expecting Minnie Ripperton to launch into "Black Gold Of The Sun" such is the similarity of the opening bars! There's a definite Rotary Connection vibe running through the track and it's backed with typically crunchy percussive touches from the Banff resident. This is complemented by the Norsedelic cosmiche bump of "Space Shuffle" which wouldn't sound out of place on Internasjonal. On the flip "Deepa" provides one of the most upwardly mobile moments from Parts Unknown with the crisp uptempo percussive strut underlined by a constantly building rhythmic momentum. Jamaica meets Baltimore in this first in a series of collaborations between David Marston and Life on Planets, the LOP duo linked up with Marston after finding common ground in their music philosophy. This first single titled Treegossip is an instrumental track that combines a minimal and elegant guitar melody with electronic bass and disco drums leaning towards a more 80s vibe; a departure from Life on Planets largely vocal productions.

Following on from previous full-length albums, ‘Love Lights Music And More’ and ‘More Music, Lights And Love’, Leeds-based duo MAM – aka Miguel Campbell and Matt Hughes - are back to present their third LP, ‘Garden Of Eternal Summers’. Scheduled for release on via Outcross Records on 4th March and comprised of 14 tracks, it’s an album born out of late night jam sessions with guitars and synthesisers.
 
Leading with dreamy, psychedelic synths is lush opener ‘Digital Emotion’ before second track ‘Memory Touch’ switches things up to tell a lighter, bouncier tale of it’s own.  ‘Street Boutique’ introduces a grittier bassline underneath a crescending old school synth melody, whilst ‘Love Shock’ eases the pressure with a retro guitar riff set against summery keyboard chords. ‘Future Mystery’ continues this sun-kissed theme, with soft, echoey keys complimenting a bass guitar riff, before a harder-hitting bassline and drums add an extra dimension to the breakdown midway through the track.
 
The final two tracks ‘Organic Voyage’ and ‘Double Chance’ act as the sunset on MAM’s summer garden of an album, with evocative saxophone samples and airy synths bringing the album to a hazy, relaxed end.

This was my summer - to be in love - soundtrack!
The first time i listened to the original was during the hot greek summer as i was crossing the aegean sea (good times!), i completely fell in love with the track and the album. 
I wanted to make a quick edit and keep the track on repeat but i thought it would spoil the tracks feel and originality. So, when the good guys at DFA gave away the multi-tracks i was so into the track that i couldn't resist adding some of my synths and messing around with the arrangement... all things done with love &amp; respect!
