Geboren im Ruhrgebiet, entdeckte Inner Motion, der im bürgerlichen Leben auf den Namen Dominic Ratta hört, schon früh seine Liebe zur elektronischen Musik. Bereits in jungen Jahren war ihm das bloße konsumieren von Musik nicht genug und er wollte selbst etwas erschaffen, so begann er Keyboard und Gitarre zu spielen und schließlich im Alter von etwa 15 Jahren selbst Musik zu produzieren und aufzulegen. Erste Erfolge feierte er als Teil des Trance-Duos Lehm & Gras, die unter anderem auf mehrere Veröffentlichungen als Remixer auf dem Label Armada/A State of Trance zurückblicken können. Im Jahr 2012 letztendlich entdeckte Dominic seine Liebe zur psychedelischen Seite der Elektronischen Musik und das Projekt Inner Motion war geboren.

Inner Motion aka Dominic Ratta was born in the 1980s in Dortmund. Quite early, he discovered his passion for electronic music and the idea of creating something on his own. Already in younger years he began to play Keyboard and Guitar which finally led to his first attempts in producing music and DJing at the age of 15. He had his first success as part of the Trance-Duo „Lehm & Gras“ who released several remixes on the label Armada/A State of Trance. In 2012 Dominic felt a strong attraction to the more psychedelic genres of electronic music and finally the project Inner Motion was born!
