He went to Columbia College in Chicago for one semester to learn audio engineering, so he not only raps and produces his own beats, but also engineers all of his music. 

After working at a studio called The Jungle for a year, he saved up enough money to purchase the studio’s backline and create his own studio for Hurt Everybody. They were cranking away nonstop and Freddy says the motivation was thrilling:

“I went crazy, just off the dreams. I was like ‘I have a dream’ and went crazy.”
