Our newest story comes from Augenstein, a very talented producer and DJ from Halle Germany. He has caught our attention with his latest EP on renowned label Random Collective wich came out early this year. His music is a mixture of spacey, downpitched sounds, melodic and organic ingridients, all held together with deep and seductive basslines. This set here is an offer from him shortly before his next release on Echoes From Venus, we can't wait to give you soon an EP with three wonderful creations from Augenstein.

This is the prayer that comes at the end of Japji Sahib by guru Nanak.
I've always loved it as it's a short poem that contains so much.
It connects me with the elements of the Universe (wind, water and earth) and places me in the hands of the Divine Mother and Father, as a child.
It reminds me of the liberation, peace and joy that comes from meditating on the Creator and Creation and harmonizing myself with it's vastness.

A special thank you to Nora Wright who played the beautiful harp on this track back in 2015. We recorded it in her family's eco-village in Vera Cruz, México. She has been such a sister and joy to play music with.

Wind is the teacher, Water is the father,
and Earth is the great mother.
Day and night are the two kind nurturers,

The record of good and bad deeds is read out
In presence of the Lord of Dharma.
According to their own deeds, some draw closer, some are driven away.

Those who have meditated on the Name of the Lord,
And departed after having worked by the sweat of their brow,

"In my own time I make a lot of bass music like digi dub, dubstep, garage, dub techno and jungle, a lot of it doesn't see the light of day besides DJ sets or occasionally live sets because most of it is just for fun. I thought it'd be a good excuse to put together a dub inspired mix with all original music. Inside there is two remixes from this year, one Turner Street Sound forthcoming track and the rest of the songs I've made over the past few years. If I'm bored I’ll sometimes just make a little digi dub track as almost a practice, I like to avoid days where I do nothing and if I can't be bothered getting too deep it's a fun practice to do something that's productive. So the mix has a few tracks I put together for fun and a couple other bits may come out at some point, covers a few bpms and will hopefully be a good one to enjoy with the devils lettuce or a drink in the sun."
