Luca Musto, the Berlin-based producer—known for blending the grit of jazz, the aching soul of blues, and the warmth of downtempo grooves and house—has found a new edge. This EP isn’t just slow-house with hypnotizing melodies; it’s Luca stepping out of his comfort zone, ripping through the seams of downtempo safety nets and into the uncharted waters of a career’s next level. It’s bold. It’s raw. It’s the sound of an artist refusing to stand still.
“I worked on these tracks early in 2024,” Luca says, “and spent the summer road-testing them across Europe—clubs, festivals, wherever the music could speak. The feedback shaped the final version of each song, turning good ideas into great ones.” You can hear it in the details. Each beat is a story. Each melody, a confession.

Luca has graced Moodfamily before, with standout releases and unforgettable appearances on compilations, always hitting the sweet spot. He’s also no stranger to labels like Laut & Luise, Feines Tier, and Kindisch. But Calling Columbus? This is different. This is Luca playing the long game—turning what could have been just another EP into something that feels alive, that demands attention. t’s music that belongs in Berlin’s late-night dungeons and sunlit terraces in equal measure.
