Janismirror is a Hard Rock / Grunge band from Milan (Italy), influenced by Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Grunge and Post-grunge.
Paul Basilico formed the band in late 2010.
It took some time to search for their personal sound, to set up their songs and to reach a solid line-up, with Lisa Benzoni on vocals, Mirko Montrasio (also with Agony Face) on bass and Maurizio Barchiesi on drums.

Since 2013/2014 they played live (Woodstock, Una e Trentacinque, Rock on the Road, Manifest 2014, Circolo di Mariano, Nerolidio, Shabba, Wanted, Rock 'n roll Rho and Milan, Democrazy 2016/2017/2018 and in some other contests), presenting their songs with both electric and acoustic shows.

In 2015 the band replaced Maurizio Barchiesi with the new drummer Giacomo Cocetta.

In September 2016 they won the Democrazy 2016 contest.

Influences
Janismirror's sound is influenced by 90's Grunge; it has been restyled in a modern way through typical sounds of 2000's and Post-grunge.

Songs reflect Paul's inspiration from US modern metal like Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry, the Hard Rock strongness, and the ecleticism of Mirko Montrasio.

Janismirror sound can be defined as unique, both melodic/catchy and modern/raw, joining figurative and meditative Lisa's lyrics, half way from oniric/sperimental (Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Verdena) and rock/metal spontaneity (Halestorm, Evanescence, The Gathering).

I am a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in dirty old Calne in south-west England. My experience in playing different styles of music has influenced my playing style and my songwriting. I have experience writing music in such genres as Rock, Punk, Funk, Metal and Reggae. 

The music you will find on this page is essentially Rock Music played on an acoustic guitar although there are a number of tracks which include full band instrumentation. All the instruments you hear are played by me and a lot of the tracks were recorded by me also, with a portable digital recorder.

2013 our debut album "Morning Light". 2016 the 2nd one, "The Line". 1/4 is a woman. Pure rock & roll.

The Quincey is a six-piece psychedelic pop band from Italy.
With a lush, 60's lo-fi sound created with vintage gear, their debut album Look Up To The Sky was released on Bad Panda Records (Dumbo Gets Mad, Indian Wells) in December 2015 with an LP run of 500 copies.
The band worked with Los Angeles based video artis and musician Vinyl
Williams to create a completely interactive 3-D world for the single Make It Right, one of four videos made for the album.
Having worked together with brands such as Jameson, Wrangler, Diesel, Fratelli Rossetti, and Seafarer's the band toured around Italy and lit up the dancefloor playing afro disco at their regular night at Surfer's Den in Milan, featured in the NY Times. The band is currently currently finishing up a new album, digging deeper into their roots, switching from English to their native tongue, Italian. The band has also spawned two offsprings: Foulard (Lolipop Records) and Thunder Tillman (ESP Institute), one step closer to ultimate world domination. Buon ascolto!

So mused one reviewer and he hit the nail on the head. DCWAVE cranks out music with influences from Pink Floyd to Rush, AC/DC and the Foo Fighters. Throughout the songs are micro-anthems that embody the best of arena-sized rock that tell a story while making heads bob, and feet tap.
