Credit needs to be given. To me, this is excellent.  This absolutely achieves groove, and having grown up in Brooklyn in the golden age of groove, I oughta know.  But I never heard a groove with instant changes in tempo and/or time signature before, holy shit!!  I much liked those changes; I don't care what confusion that might cause on a dance floor.  Who said all groove music is part of Dance?  Also, you do got a Funk going on at parts for sure, with that dirty, gritty, filthy bass playing notes that go extremely well with that dirty bass timbre.  This is a very fine piece of work.  For me, that tempo/time-signature change and more takes this into the realm of Jazz-Rock/Fusion, in addition to being an unusual Funk song. F*<king Bravo!

Here we talk about aspects of the ills of society, by way of the different types of thief that plague us. This is within a hard core, yet slow, groove in the genres of Funk and (good) Disco.  In this funk / disco / dance piece, old-school standards apply.  A down-home feeling to the groove power makes this something most funk fans can relate to. Bass is definitely in the house, with the horns and more. It's a song that touches on real life and real human nature.  Lyrics follow.
