Albatross comes from the South of the Philippine Islands. He plays the xylophone and drums for the band Bent Lynchpin.
He has been exploring the occult and has been documenting and archiving primitive forms of aural and visual creations from the past.
Currently, he is in transit; prowling for vinyl and the best grilled cheese sandwich in the world.
Loveski comes from Warsaw, Poland. 
He illegally entered the Philippines in 1964, he now works as a molecular biologist for the Bureau of Fisheries in Manila. He dabbles with sound manipulation and typography for streamers and banners in Anonas, Quezon City.

NothingElse…Is Out There EP

When NothingElse dubs his first solo outing “NothingElse…Is Out There”, you dear listener should be aware that he is tinkering with the gray matter inside your brain. One of the pillars of the AMPON Collective, NothingElse polishes every facet of the EP in order to unveil an AMPON oeuvre—a quality synthesis of form and content. 

But before we barge in with the details, let us clarify a few notions first. 

•	There are no R&B “singers” featured in this project. 
•	No one is pretending to sing only to hit the wrong notes.
•	No animals were harmed in the production of this EP. 
•	But yes, NothingElse, whose name is a play of words in itself, is ingenious in his songwriting. 
•	Literary devices such as allusions, alliterations, metaphors, and similes appear without fail. 
•	The chosen language is bilingual—Filipino and English.  
•	Repeated listening of the EP is also very rewarding. 
•	Your mom and dad will definitely love this record. 
•	Your cat? Perhaps.

The EP gate-crashes with the Caliph8 produced “Bulag, Pipi, at Bingi.” NothingElse bombards Filipino verses over a minimalist experimental beat that has a drum pattern unorthodox in Hip Hop standards. It is then followed by another Filipino track titled “Episode IV”. On this track, NothingElse collaborates with beatsmith Chec and lyricist extraordinaire Gabby (also known by many aliases such as Latchbox, Shroomy, and his most recent persona fishoutsidethebowl). “Kawawang Bata” wraps up the Filipino component of the EP. Not to be outshined by DJ Red-I’s beat and methodical turntablist technique, NothingElse weaves lines like “ang lahat ng ma-enkwentro’y nag-iiwan ng bakas, kahit kaila’y di mababaklas, kahit antayin pang matapos ang palatastas.” Then as an interlude between the Filipino and English division of the EP, Chec’s “Unitide” beat smoothly serves as transition. The English component then commences with “Count your Chips”, a collaboration with two self-exiled AMPON members—Bacolod-based emcee Six and Vancouver-based producer Flexx.  “Microphone Mesh”, produced by Skarm, is where NothingElse brandishes an underground Hip Hop aesthetic form that only few Filipino emcees and rappers can equal. Then in “Reference Rap”, DJ Skid of the Hawaiian crew Audible Lab Rats creates an atmospheric beat which provides NothingElse a means to exhibit uncanny wordplay and a postmodern collage of various juxtaposed images. 

 And dear listener, I leave you with the same line written by Dr. Malcolm Long in his journal after his therapy sessions with Walter Joseph Kovacs:

Precision and fluidity are two primary words to describe DJ Clyde Harris’ unique style of mixing. Combining concepts of old and new, Clyde brings a fresh take to the art of vinyl spinning. His vast scalability and smooth mixes provide a state of the art performance. 

Clyde was born and raised in Philippines—this is where he discovered the love for underground electronic dance music at such a young age. Going to various shows to see local and national DJs eventually got him interested in DJing. He taught himself how to DJ and a year after high school he started landing gigs in Negros Occidental.

In 2007 he moved to Guam where he resided for 3 years and established himself as one of Guam’s premier DJs, playing at several clubs and at special events. His skills and attention to details are what separated him from many of the DJs on Guam, past and present. After a couple of years on Guam, Clyde got himself 'Best Club Dj' nominations for year 2009 and 2010 respectively. This is where he introduced the house series ‘SESSIONS’, a huge annual event dedicated to house fans and to promote the electronic music scene on the island—it started in 2007.

In late 2010, he moved to Baltimore to attend music school while he continues to spread his love for music through DJing. His soulful style of smooth blends and music selection have gotten him a steady fan base of Club goers and the respect of his peers in the local Dj scene. He approaches every mix with the type of passion and creativity that one can only be seen to believe. With an infinite passion for music DJ Clyde Harris aims to expand the realm of mixing and provide a experience that few others can offer. 
May 2012, Clyde decided to move back to Philippines to explore new sounds and styles and get connected with the local scene. In less than a year living in Manila, Philippines, he landed residencies at Prohibition, TIME, UNO Lounge and ICON Ultimate Club and played at numerous clubs and events throughout the country. Dj Clyde Harris has joined the Switch DJs—a group of talented and highly respected DJs in the Philippines. He is also a member of 6AM group (www.6am-group.com), a promotions company based in Los Angeles (with affiliations in Philippines) that hosts and promotes underground parties in and around LA. 

He is the creator and producer of ‘The Father and Son Tour’ in the Philippines, ‘The Movement (Global Underground Sounds) series which is a quarterly party that features national and international acts to play in a chosen city in the country and the monthly SHIFT party at TIME—all branded events for house music to promote, educate and feature both veteran DJs and rising talents alike from all over the Philippines.

Not with an axe nor sledgehammers, local beatsmith Dhublly (Kruger Monares), has been drifting his way from one speaker to another using his unorthodox crafts of mixed Hip-Hop, soul, jazz and everything in between since 2006, the very same year he produced his first track, up to present. 

Around 2007, Dhublly met AMPON and MDK's Six the Northstar (Six Gantioqui), who introduced him to left field Hip-Hop that influenced a portion of his experimentation and soon made tracks with him as well. Later on, along with the snap of the fingers of time, Dhublly was able to make various collaborations with other local artists including a California-based cat, Oddjekt. In the year 2011, Dhublly was able to produce his first full album called "Dhub and the Backseat Driver" around June and an EP called "Project Decibel" in the same year.

Since Dhublly's travel never halts, he put up his own recording studio called the MoonBase, which houses talents like Six the Northstar and Ang Alamat ng Tunkod (Jan Benares), both from AMPON, Souljah P (Roem Ortiz), Beef (Ron Baba), Blayzey (Francis Popioco), Steezy (Steph Tortogo) and Woody (Woody Rojas).

"Personally, friendship aside, I consider Dhublly as one of Bacolod's finest artists ever. I am actually really proud of him. People jam to his beats, kick freestyle sessions to his beats, get high to his beats, make love on a perfect rainy night to his beats.. They are and have always been a part of my daily grind. As of the moment, Dhublly's on a secret brew on new crafts on his ongoing journey with the backseat drivers. Which means, you better watch out.. With both eyes.
