“Jaber” is a practical shortcut for the German phrase “Ja, aber...” (“Yes, but...”). Jan Oben uses it as a tool to shift moods and twist expectations—just when you think you’ve got it figured out. 
As his second release, the track builds on his focus on driving rhythm, while the restrained melody creates a feeling that wouldn’t be complete without that quiet little “but.”
