Dark Temple is the debut vinyl release of AVIVX, a young and talented queer DJ and producer. Born in Kazakhstan, AVIVX moved to Georgia a few years ago and has held several DJ residencies in the clubs of Tbilisi and Batumi.

He attended the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo at the age of 21, where his original music was described as distinctly unique, blurring the lines between East and West.His DJ sets oscillate between Chicago house, New Beat, Italo, trance, techno old and new, generating a vortex of playful queer techno euphoria.

After a couple of digital releases, Dark Temple is AVIVX's first release on vinyl. On the 4 tracks, the melancholic Eastern vibes and melodies are woven into a thick energetic house blanket. The sound is irresistible, resulting in a warm and uplifting trance.

Next up on eudemonia is the Frankfurt-based duo ‚not even noticed‘. With only a couple of vinyl releases during the last years the two artists are relatively new to the scene. However their sound is perfectly produced and meets the tooth of time. The ‚No More Waiting‘ EP consists of five outstanding futuristic electro and breaks-influenced tracks each going into their own direction. The second episode of the new Moscow-based imprint Spazio is coming hot! After the super 12-track debut VA published in March this year, the Russian label – creative team, and party series – brings to light its very first EP. Doing the honours, Pavel Fedoseev aka KIKOK and his "Cacao Beach" featuring three Summer-infused originals and two spot-on remixes made with love by Moonoton and Yakovets.

Hailing from Perm, a Russian city close to the Ural Mountains and home to rare snow leopards and Amur tigers, KIKOK has solid works published on Magnetron Music, Electric Shapes, and Spazio itself. The mastermind behind the remix we selected to premiere, Andrey Moonoton, in turn, is an ex-member of St. Petersburg duo Andrei & Eleanora. Now stationed in Moscow, his eclectic 80s/90s-soaked sonority has been published on Permanent Vacation, Tigers On A Leash, IDA, and... drum roll, please... Spazio!

For his take on the title track, Moonoton started to administer his magic touch by tweaking the BPM (from 126 to 130) and then adding heavy doses of percussive elements. The biting arpeggios plus the 90s-ish frenzied aura he introduced brought even more drive to his version and the result is definitely one of the highlights of the release.

ABOUT THE SPUNOFF TRACK : 

El Sol Me Sigue was born from a simple moment: a sunny evening, my girlfriend by my side, and this ‘poolside’ instrumental track that had been sitting on my computer for a few weeks.
I challenged her to have some fun with the microphone. She accepted, shyly, a little hesitantly, but she quickly got into it. We ended up finding that perfect balance, a sweet and spontaneous track that captures the warmth and intimacy of that sunny, cute moment.
