We have had great success with our first series of VA releases called Edition, for which there were 3 parts. This year, we present our next Various Artists release, named Atlas.

This LP features both established artists and newcomers to the scene, as well as label staples and label newcomers. Atlas features Deft, Visages, Drone, Nymfo, Monty, Alix Perez, Echo Brown, Foreign Concept, Headland, Safire, DRS, Nymfo, and of course, Eprom. Atlas is a journey through numerous styles and tempos, showcasing a group of the most talented artists in bass music today.

Atlas/ 1 will be released on digital on 9th July 2021 - and also as a 3 piece vinyl set which will be available for shipping in September.

Five years and 99 EPs later, the ‘One Hundred’ EP is here at last. To celebrate, we brought together legendary purveyors of @NightBassRecords music for a unique blend of genres that culminate into one expertly crafted 9-track release. Label boss @ACSlater lights the torch with ‘Big Loud Heavy Bass’ - a track that speaks true to its name. @Chris-Lorenzo-1 keeps the big bass energy up with ‘Dash’, a certified club-banger that bounces seamlessly into the long-awaited Spicy Noodles VIP mix, courtesy of @Flava_D. A refreshingly melodic intro comes through on @Shift-Key’s ‘Ragz’, before descending into a shape-shifting bassline drop, paving the way for @Taiki-Nulight-uk’s musically diverse “Kush”, with the iconic Dread MC’s vocals. After that we have @djJayRobinson & @Jack-Beat’s ‘Hustler’, a stunning mix of each of their synth-laden bouncy sounds, that send you into the tinkering synth riffs on @Petey-Clicks' ‘Ugly’, an energetic number that’ll keep your feet shuffling into the next track, @Sinden’s ‘Work That’. This house number hits heavy from the start with a nice mix of vocal samples and a bumpin’ house beat. Finishing it all off we have Bijou’s ‘Used 2 This’ with @PapiYanks’ rap flow layering an ominous beat that leads into a modern visitation of the classic @Bijou bassline sound. Gray has been making waves at Born On Road HQ since our 1st slightly bizarre meeting with him in a field in Winchester at a popular music festival in 2018. Though his roots run a lot deeper. He cut his teeth though the free party scene in his hometown of London proving he has the minerals whist effortlessly mixing between styles.

Since moving to Bristol he has fully submerged himself into the circuit growing ever popular amongst ravers who have taken to joining in with the infectious vocals of his newly acclaimed anthem ‘Rubadub’, just one of the tunes off this heavyweight EP that has been doing major damage over the summer and is already turning the heads of some of the big players in the scene and it’s sub genres!

Gray has also enrolled the talents of two veterans of the scene, The Ragga Twins drop the lead line on Blood, a hard hitting bass heavy tune.

This EP is rammed packed full of goodness and comes with our certified Born On Road dance floor seal of approval, we are super hyped to welcome Gray as a member of our ever expanding family and we all look forward to working with him more in the future. But for now we’ll let the music do the talking…

London-born producer @F-D returns to The North Quarter with his new “Lanta Nights EP”, to be released on June 12th. After his masterful debut album “Better Days” - which transcended genres through a richly detailed palette - he now returns with a more compact piece: all killers, no fillers. Drawing influences from Dub, Hip Hop and Soul and mixing them with his London club roots, his growth as an artist and technician is clearly shown on this diverse but signature sounding 5 track EP. Lanta Nights kicks off with two vocal tracks: the first - Lie To You - is a delicate soulful track featuring Akemi Fox,with the second - The Feeling - a 90’s Hip Hop inspired jam featuring KinKai. The EP then dips into rolling Dub inspired science fiction mayhem for the final three tracks. Essential listening. 

“There isn’t a theme here really, because as an artist I find it important to express myself in a wide range of styles” FD explains. “It’s just me trying to put my own spin on what for me are ‘classic’ Drum & Bass fundamentals, expressing them in a contemporary way. I want to try and retain depth and honesty in my music, something that has been important to me in music since I first got into it.”

This spring, Los Angeles-based Durante and HANA release their debut EP on Anjunadeep ‘13 Voices’. Championed by the likes of Bonobo, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Grimes respectively, the duo combine deep grooves with HANA's angelic vocals.

Delicate arpeggios open the EP on title-track ‘13 Voices’, whilst Anjunadeep 11 favourite ‘Days Pass’ showcases HANAs mesmeric songwriting atop tribal percussive textures. Closing the EP is ‘Starglow’, a club-ready track with a thumping bassline that demonstrates Durante’s flair for intersecting house and techno.
