So I had an idea to make music from the perspective of a character in a horror-themed game I played, someone who lived in that world and wrote music. I wanted to combine it with another idea I had, which was taking loops from tapes. Honestly, had no idea what would happen, I have no experience with it so I just kinda did my best! In the end, I didn't make the character beyond a name, Japes. In my head he's just this dude that is playing his tapes in the spooky alleyways of a small New England town on the coast. He's raiding the thrift store for fifty cent tapes, splicing shit together on his computer, and calling it music.
