THE PYRE

He was good once. Before the world taught him what he looked like. Before the first scream, the first stone, the first door slammed in a face his father chose piece by piece and couldn't stand to see assembled.

The Pyre is a 22-track Halloween trap concept album that retells Mary Shelley's Frankenstein through the voices of everyone it destroys: the creator who played God and ran from what he made, the creature who learned the word for love through a wall and the word for monster from everyone else, the woman who married a man haunted by something he wouldn't name, and the explorer who found a dying confession on the ice at the edge of the world.

The music fuses spooky orchestral elements — harpsichord, church bells, theremin, horror strings, music box melodies — with heavy trap production. Every track sounds like a haunted house that learned to dance. Every lyric sounds like a confession that arrives too late to save anyone.

This is not a monster story. This is a parenthood story. A man creates life and abandons it. The life teaches itself to speak, to read, to love — and is rejected by everything it touches. It asks its father for one companion. One person who won't run. The father builds her and then tears her apart while the creature watches through a window. And the creature, who was good once, who wept at music and carried firewood to strangers, becomes the thing they always said he was. Because when every door is locked, rage is the only room left open.

The album ends on the ice, where it began. The creator dies. The creature weeps over the body of the only person who knew his name. Then he walks into the dark to build a fire and lie down in it. Lightning started him. Fire finishes him. And between those two sparks, a life that nobody wanted, that everybody feared, that was good once — and has to count for something. Even if the something is just smoke.
