Strawberry Roan is the performance project of Bay Area singer-songwriter and recording engineer Roan Gibson. Drawing from influences including Stephen Kellogg, Bright Eyes, and Okkervil River, Strawberry Roan draws equally from the traditions of his namesake tune, The Strawberry Roan, sung by Marty Robbins (look it up) and Bay Area arts culture. 

Seeking to engage deeply in the tender side of masculinity, and wear stylish pink cowboy boots while doing it. Roan's music is sweet, sarcastic, and biting all at once. His upcoming self-titled EP, recorded at his home studio Wally's Hydeout, will be releasing in early 2023 and promises to delight lyricists and sonic speakers alike with rich textures and provoking imagery.
