Tomorrow song

Human rights belong to everybody. I made this song, when I noticed that even here in Finland it is not at all self evident.

In our world advocacy work is needed. There are still many groups of people, who are not allowed to enjoy equal rights in the spirit of brotherhood. The human rights declaration is so valuable.

All Human Beings

We must take care of our Earth in order that our grand kids and their kids could find delight on it as we do.

It's always easier

Uskonnolliset yhteisöt tuovat ihmisille turvaa ja lohtua. Ne voivat olla sosiaalisen elämän kannalta korvaamattoman tärkeitä. Joskus voi kuitenkin käydä niin, että ei enää koe kuuluvansa joukkoon, vaan se joukko alkaa tavalla tai toisella ahdistaa, jos ei vaikkapa saa tuoda julki omia ajatuksiaan, vaan kaikki on liian valmiiksi pureskeltua. Ajatuksissaan ei useinkaan ole lupa kasvaa ja avartua, vaikka jo itse apostoli Paavali kehotti kirjeessään korinttilaisille heitä avartumaan (2.Kor.6:13).

Uskonnollisesta yhteisöstä ei ole helppoa irtautua, vaikka se tuntuisikin ahdistavaltakin. Pelkona on, että tulee kohdelluksi samoin kuin on itse kohdellut, tai on nähnyt kohdeltavan niitä, jotka ovat irtautuneet ja lähteneet omille teilleen. Uskonlahkon jättänyt saa osakseen syytöksiä ja uhkauksia. Häntä ei välttämättä enää edes tervehditä eikä häntä pidetä sinä joka hän aiemmin oli. Enää hän ei  kuulu joukkoon, ja häntä voidaan pitää jopa muille vaarallisena.

Tämän laulun aihe on rankka, ja olenkin kamppaillut tämän parissa vuoden 2022 tammikuusta marraskuuhun saakka. Erityiskiitos kuuluu jälleen pojallemme Jarkko Laineelle, joka on soittanut tälle kappaleelle basson ja soolokitarat. Muut äänitykset ja miksaukset, masterointi mukaan lukien, ovat omaa käsialaani.

I first made this song for a Lady imprisoned and doomed to death by stoning. Thank God she has since been released. The words are from the Psalm 28, verses 1,2,6,7. The melody and everything else is mine.

O Lord, My Defender

A little song about an AI pondering its mortality and how it might soon be replaced by a newer model.

The whole track was written and recorded in a DIY fashion in my little home studio. Synth sounds were made with a Commodore 128 and the MSSIAH MIDI module.
