Parmi les quelques musiciens Sud-Africains connus au-delà de leurs frontières, rares sont ceux à être aussi remarqués et productifs que Sibot.

Bien avant d’être sacré meilleur DJ Sud-africain (2002), ce DJ/Producteur aux multiples talents avait déjà pris part à de nombreux projets collaboratifs avec la crème de la scène locale, désormais internationalement reconnue.

Sibot commence ainsi à attirer l’attention en 1998 aux côtés de Watkin Tudor Jones (Ninja, de Die Antwoord) avec leur groupe Max Normal, puis participe à diverses créations originales telles que Playdoe (avec Spoek Mathambo), The Real Estate Agents, Closet Snare, The Constructus Corporation (à nouveau avec Yolandi Visser et Watkin Tudor Jones de Die Antwoord) et Chromoscience. C’est avec tous ces groupes que Sibot expérimente et peaufine son style inclassable, brouillant les frontières entre Hip-Hop et musique électronique, et proposant sur scène des shows ultra énergiques où le live et le DJing se confondent.

En constante évolution (et ébullition!), Sibot s’est produit partout sur la planète, des block parties agitées aux showcases privés les plus prisés (Boiler Room) en passant par la plupart des grands festivals européens comme le Sonar (Espagne), le Pukkelpop (Belgique), le Printemps de Bourges (France), le Paleo & Elektron (Suisse), le Glastonbury (Royaume- Uni) et le Splash (Allemagne).

Pour cet EP Sibot se pose en alchimiste sonore, brassant son électro avec les liqueurs corsées du dubstep, trap ou ghettotech, mais l’affinant avec les saveurs filtrées d’eurodance ou de house. Un mélange jamais écoeurant et propre à l’artiste, qui permet de comprendre pourquoi Sibot convainc toujours son auditoire, du public de Durban à Berlin, de Jarring Effects à Mad Decent.

Crimbrule' - Late Night Glitch (Feelmonger Remix)

Vincent Crow and I strolled through a park in downtown Greenville on his birthday recording random samples from anything we could find around town. upon doing so we stumbled across a friendly gentlemen playing guitar, ironically for another little girls birthday. He and vince discussed his guitar for a second and then they proceeded to jam this delicious vibe you hear. i snuck up and recorded the beautiful moment. then we went home and used all of our samples we had created to make this pretty little beat. i hope it makes you smile<3 This one goes out to Greenville and never forgetting where you came from
