Hello, fellow ragamuffins! Typically on his birthday (Oct. 21), I've been releasing my Rich Mullins arrangements for over a decade. This year I got them re-mixed and re-mastered to get them all sounding a bit more uniform (since tracking across a decade really brings out the differences!) My hope is, if you know the originals we love so much, that perhaps something new will strike you. I am often moved how, even after all these years, Rich's music and lyrics can cross time and space to touch me all the new. 
If you're here because you know me personally and/or don't know Rich's music, I thank you for visiting. My music exists to keep Rich Mullins music alive in some way as well as to share my heart about the importance of being authentic, even when it's messy. Perhaps you will even meet and learn about the reckless, raging fury that they call the love of God. (He's crazy about you, by the way.)

cellist, string arranger, pianist, singer, beat maker, guitar dabbler, composer.....in love with layers of loops. i love to create texture and weave lines together like basketry...contemporary classical concoctions, uniqueness in layers. with cello. and whatever else I can come up with.  it makes me happy and the hope is to spread the love around, collaborate and continually create.
BIO:
Lindsey Smith-Trostle is a freelance cellist in Nashville, TN. She holds a Bachelors of Music in Cello Performance from Loyola University New Orleans and a Masters of Music in Cello Performance from Belmont University. Lindsey has been playing regularly with Huntsville Symphony since 2006 and also subs with various other regional symphonies. Recording with various artists including Jack White, Tanya Tucker, Kirk Franklin, side projects for members of Toby Mac's band and several local indie and hip hop artists. Performed with numerous artists including Futureman's Black Mozart Ensemble at Bonnaroo, Transiberian Orchestra in various cities, Dennis DeYoung of Styx, various local bands in Nashville, Theresa Andersson and Smokey Robinson in New Orleans. She has performed in master classes for Benjamin Zander and the Tokyo String Quartet. Lindsey co-founded Athena Strings and plays in the Athena PIano Trio, which strives to focus on original compositions, tangos, unusual arrangements, and the unexpected. The goal being to break with convention and create a fusion of all the arts, to revolutionize and modernize what classical music is, making it more accessible and entertaining to all audiences. I just love making music, collaborating, and continually creating. Specialize in arranging/composing, layering and weaving melodies and harmonies, and hip hop gypsy cello beats. Continually crankin' out creative cello and curiousness…Recently hand picked to be one of 20 artists to participate in the first annual Red Bull Music Academy at Bonnaroo 2014.
