Fortunate enough to have been around during the 90s and seen the growth of underground dance music first hand, Cylonik attended all manner of raves, clubs and festivals from free jungle techno parties in disused warehouses, through to amazing dance festivals like Tribal Gathering 95/96. His first love was the acid techno of Pablo Gargano, Commander Tom, Hard Floor and Choci’s Choons.

After moving to London, Club 313, Turnmills and particularly Fabric become like second homes with Fabric providing him with a free guest list and the luxury of not having to queue. Keen to produce his own music, but never quite gelling with the production process, the desire lay dormant for years and was picked up again in 2019 along with the desire to start DJing. After taking part in Rebekah’s 10x10 production challenges and the Finish More Music program he hopes to soon release his first EP.

His DJing style ranges from the tougher side of tech house through to slamming techno and his sets focus on energetic, hypnotic, Detroit style grooves with hints of industrial, hard house and acid flavours and sounds that tickle the senses.

You can catch his monthly radio show for AAJA radio on the 4th sat of every month 11:00-1:00am and regularly on Thursday evenings for Virtual DJS on his Twitch channel www.twitch.tv/cylonik.
