To celebrate part 1 of our Canadian Tour, we asked Toronto's legendary Dj Carl Allen to create an exclusive mix for us. The mix debuts "CHANGE" featuring Moka Only.  This new joint is produced by Bootie Brown and is from his new project "Frank Friction presents: Birdtalk The Mix"

About Dj Carl Allen:

(Toronto, Canada) - Toronto’s legendary Dj Carl Allen spent 20 plus years as producer and programmer for “Loungin’ on Ckln 88.1 FM” and was at the helm of an extremely successful 14 year live to air radio residency at The Phoenix Nightclub. Carl has gigged all over the world, and has been the recipient of several awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the North American DJ Hall of Fame in 2003 and a prestigious induction into the Stylus Dj Hall of Fame in 2008. 

Since the 90's, Allen has become a restaurateur and purveyor of soul food. Currently Carl Allen is a partner in Harlem Restaurant on Richmond as well as its sister spot, Harlem Underground on Queen West both located in downtown Toronto. Both exist to provide a sense of community, a performance space, and that rare Toronto offering that is a soul food menu.  He is also an instrumental figure in producing and programming The Irie Music Festival, a multi-day, multi-location event that draws hundreds of thousands of festival revellers every summer. 

Still going strong today, you can find Carl Allen gigging at his several residences in and around Toronto, Canada, still globe trotting with many international gigs and broadcasting live to air from Six Degrees Nightclub every Thursday night on G98.7 FM.
