An emblematic artist of the Palestinian underground scene, SAMA’ is one of the first DJs and electronic music producers to emerge from the region. Her sound, an original punchy kind of techno, is dry and musical all at once and has quickly made its way across Europe and beyond.
 
SAMA, meaning ‘sky’ in Arabic, started mixing in 2006 in parties around Ramallah, Palestine. Several years later she started producing her own music and expanding her interest in synthesis in 2010, with a focus on techno, house, and other deeper sub-genres of electronic music.
 
The artist graduated from the United Kingdom with a BSc in Audio Engineering and Music Production, then moved to Cairo where she worked as a sound designer for film, became a music producer and then instructor. SAMA’ now runs her own Audio Engineering & Sound Design company working across films and documentaries in the Middle East. In 2017, she was selected as a Laureate by the French Institute, and during that time attended a residency at the International City of Arts in Paris. SAMA’ also runs a publishing company called Awyav, representing independent artists from the Arab world.
 
In late 2018, SAMA’s Boiler Room performance and the associated documentary about the scene in Palestine went viral and more and more people are seeing that music has no boundaries. SAMA’ was recently listed in SheSaid.So’s Alternative Power 100 List, and plays a high-profile set at Ibiza’s World Heritage Site of Dalt Vila for the International Music Summit in late May. She is currently working on a studio album.

The Organism’s rise to international fame has transcended the borders of Ukraine, with his music electrifying global audiences at major festivals and premier clubs worldwide. His breakthrough track, “Reflection,” released on the prestigious Disco Halal label, skyrocketed him into the spotlight. Its hypnotic beats caught the attention of trendsetting DJs like Solomun, Dixon, Black Coffee, Ame, Kolsch, DJ Tennis, Dennis Ferrer, and Andhim, solidifying “The Organism” as a singular force in the electronic music scene.

Early 2019 saw the release of the EP Rite, a collaboration with Disco Halal’s visionary founder Moscoman. The EP’s success reverberated throughout the electronic music world, with coverage in DJMag and a coveted feature on Pete Tong’s legendary BBC Radio 1 show, an endorsement that spoke volumes about The Organism’s rising influence. Soon after, he dropped the Gypsy EP, with a stunning remix by Tim Engelhardt on the Ukrainian label Eleatics Records. This release further amplified his mystique, expanding his sonic reach and deepening his impact on the global electronic music landscape.

2019 and 2020 were landmark years for The Organism, with the release of his track “Roast” on Dynamic Music, carrying the signature approval of Solomun himself. This set the stage for his next venture: the launch of his own label, Organic Tunes. In no time, Organic Tunes stormed the charts, claiming top spots on the Indie Dance rankings and carving out its place on the international stage.

A defining moment in The Organism’s journey came in August 2022, when he made his debut at Burning Man, performing a transformative set at the legendary Mayan Warrior. That experience was life-changing, as he found a kindred spirit in the festival’s ethos—a true musical family he had long been seeking.

Looking ahead, the future holds even more exciting possibilities for The Organism. His adventurous spirit and hunger for fresh sonic textures ensure that he’ll continue to push boundaries and captivate listeners. His music doesn’t just invite you to listen—it demands that you move, that you let the sound take hold. With each release, The Organism weaves a deeper connection with his audience, crafting tracks that are as emotionally resonant as they are irresistibly danceable.

The duo deeply bound with world music. Whether they play a lounge or a dance set they carefully mix world music with progressive deep house and electro flavor. During their sets they involve their instruments as well, which are mostly the didgeridoo, kalimba, zither and some synth sounds. 

The style they play is progressive ethno deep house.  During their live sets they mix armenian, turkish, balkan and hungarian folk music with deep tunes.

Their gigs are always full impro, whether they play a lounge set or a full night danceable mix. Their music highly resonates with the place and with the people present.

Moncsichill (aka Balázs Latorczai) and PowlA (aka Vera Juhász) when they are not DJing they are organizing the music program of many festivals in Hungary  and concerts as well in various clubs in Budapest. When they do not do anything - what is pretty rare - they are just friends who like to play didgeridoo, discover new music and talk about the big philosophical questions in life.
