We are pleased to present the legendary Manchester-based producer Frameworks on this weeks L’Essentiel Mix #169. Frameworks, who over the past decade has garnered international recognition through his lush, melodic electronic soundscapes. Frameworks has endeared himself to audiences through his thoughtful, evocative compositions, leading to performances at festivals such as Coachella, Electric Forest, and Lightning In A Bottle, collaborations with Island Records staple JP Cooper and Ninja Tune’s Jono McCleery, and a European tour support slot with Emancipator. Additionally, his most recent song “Blue Light” Featuring Cleopold has been gaining popularity throughout the world with its nostalgic keyboard chords and head-bobbing drum patterns. Let me set the scene.... it's 2022, the world is opening up again, and you've travelled over 16 hours and 1,369 km's to experience a beautiful home grown little island festival by the name of Pachena Bay. It was the most magical weekend spent in nature listening to music, dancing with friends, and relaxing under the West Coast sun. My dream is to return to Pachena Bay next summer in 2025 but this time having the opportunity to share some of my favourite music with this beautiful group of humans. So here you go.... Jason Clayton, one who is ignited by musical storytelling, with love for connecting self and community through sound and movement. Experimenting with levels of emotion and energetic curiosity, Jason plays with a progressive sense, building and exploring blissful drops, powerful synths, organic tones, and global sounds. Known for curating vibrational relevance to each set produced, his innate ability to channel collective resonance, and capture the space on a journey, is his magic. 

Jason has a musical background that blends playing piano and guitar since childhood, growing up on hip-hop and rock, and hefty time logged on dance floors across the world. Based out of Moab, Utah, and involved in producing and playing local and regional festivals, ecstatic dances, and intimate desert gatherings. He DJs the underground frequently, whilst making appearances in iconic scenes like Tulum, Koh Phangan, and Burning Man.
