Opium Temple Assassins is an independent electronic musician, composer, arranger and remixer.  The OTA band name was born in Palm Springs, California, but the artist was born in LA county and has lived in places such as Palm Desert, CA, South Lake Tahoe, CA, Edinburgh, Scotland, North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii, the Lakes District, North West England,  and various other locations.  Thus, the musical and cultural influence is wide and varied, yet focused upon electronic music.  OTA isn't scared to experiment with various genres of electronic music as can be seen from the results.  If it is electronic, then it is on the OTA pallet of possibilities.

GRIT. is a London-based DJ and music producer with a passion for many styles of house and disco music. 

Drawing inspiration from the classic sounds of the Motown era and the funky jackin vibes of house music. His is music is a unique blend of old-school and new-school vibes. His sets are known for their energy and eclecticism, mixing together everything from disco grooves to deep house cuts.

In addition to his talents as a DJ, GRIT. is also an accomplished producer, with releases on respected labels including Cleveland City and Onto The Groove Records.

I have more than twenty years experience in a diverse musicologist approach to music creation and mixing. I also provide recording services to non-profits and volunteer organizations such as AA and community groups. 

You may also find a collection of natural ambient recordings from the colorful sounds of nature afforded me here in southern Louisiana which has some of best rain and thunderstorm material (and floods unfortunately). 

Aside from collecting and playing with analog synthesizers, Many moons ago I did put out a sample CD called Electro Crash Vol 12 for M-Audio Pro-Sessions (now out of print). 
 
Music creation influences are mainly analog sequencer and electro type music although I like to work on ambient, 70's electronic, space music, minimal, breakbeat, hardcore, acid-techno, drum and bass and most recently an interest in meshing ambient with dubstep and electro. 

I prefer to program all of my own beats and program all my synth sounds rather than use loops and presets (but will use loops if the situation requires it). So doing extensive complicated music for me is sometimes not possible, so my pieces are generally short and minimal in approach.

The picture in my bio is of a kitten I rescued when I lived in my apartment in Los Angeles in the 00's. The keyboard is a PAIA 2700, I still have it. Yes that's a scandinavian wood chair on my dining room table. I no longer have the kitty with me, he is remembered by this photo. He escaped one night and I never saw him again.
