Gnothi Seauton (Dmitry Chernitsov) made himself first noticed when he part took in the 2015 WitchHouse venue "Vedmin Dom", with other popular artist like Summer Of Haze, CAIN, IC3PEAK, HKG Knights, DITA REDRUM, and many more great artist during that time. Early on during the start of his music Career he mainly dabbled in WitchHouse, but later on moved over to Mixing elements of chill step, synth wave, dark Ambient, and Future Beats together.

Dmitry's Music Gives off strong Euphoric, and Ethereal feelings at times. Some of his tracks can also give off dark or depressing tones showcasing his diversity in the electronic music scene. Gnothi Seauton has a very distinct sound which I believe is a very special thing to have as a Musician because I know doing such is not easy for most artist, and having such a special sound really can set you apart from other artist which is a good thing. Outside of making music Dmitry loved playing Guitar, being out in Nature and came off as a very spiritual person who was also an avid fan of the music genre "Enigma".

This Playlist is dedicated to Dmitry, his fans, the WitchHouse community and those who are also avid fans of the Russian Electronic music scene in General. For those who are not aware Dmitry sadly took his own life back in January of 2022. There was not really much I could find online about "Gnothi Seauton" as far as his come up in the music scene, so I had to search hard and come up with my own description. I hope those who read this will enjoy.

After spending most of the summer locked away in a studio somewhere in France, M.A.D.E.S is back and ready for action with the first single from his upcoming debut LP (out winter 2018).

“Nightkiller” is a dark, riff driven, yet melodic Synthwave original song dealing with the themes of nightmares, murder and things that go bumping in the night, showcasing the French artist’s ability to create atmosphere and narrate his own stories through his music. A suspenseful drive through neon lit scenery leading into some pretty unfortunate results for the protagonists, as the accompanying music video very successfully depicts.

But that’s not all because M.A.D.E.S has even brought in some reinforcements too, with Denmark’s dark Synthwave powerhouse Daniel Deluxe and the incredibly talented newcomer Wice remixing “Nightkiller” and delivering their own versions of M.A.D.E.S’ original.

"Pictureplane"(Travis Egedy), is a popular artist known for making his come up in the electronic music scene, DIY Venues, also popular for hanging around artists like "Grimes" and "Crystal Castles" in the early come up days of these artist, he is also the one who came up with the word "Witch House" which is a playful word on "House" music, though "Witch House" is now a popular music genre that is enjoyed by many.

"Crystal Castles" are actually one of the very first, if not the first electronic music duo to actually invent "Witch House" music, as you can hear dark beats and sorrow drawn out voices off of some of their early (demo songs/ Demo Album) dating back from "2007" and before that, which is crazy to think since during that time "Witch House" did not have a name for itself yet.
