Jason Whiton is an award-winning writer, artist, and educator. His work as a screenwriter and filmmaker has been recognized by the Nicholl Fellowships (Academy of Motion Picture Arts &amp; Sciences), PBS, and major film festivals.

Jason lived in northern Japan and Japanese culture has inspired many of his writing, music, film, and art projects. He is interested in capturing the poetry of life through experimental film, sound recording, and Photography. After teaching art for seventeen years at The Putney School in Vermont, he moved to teach in San Francisco in 2008. Jason loves to spend his time creating projects and collaborations, making music and movies, and helping young people to explore their lives as artists.
