Light and darkness come together, you can feel the diversity in this track, which is made for two worlds. Melodic, cosmic and surprising, this is “Eclipse“ by Jäger. It’s a journey through soundcapes of house and techno at the same time. The strong and catchy bassline is combined with smart keys and some parts are just full of wide-open space. “Obscurity“ is straighter, with an angular groove and a slightly spooky vibe. And than we have “Visionary“, filled with palpable atmosphere and long lasting sound pearls. The bass loads up softly but extensive and gentle chords building up a magic moment. More light again after the break, but there is still the feeling, that these “Eclipse“ will come back.

Respected label Diynamic has announced the eighth edition of its popular ‘Four to the Floor’ series. 

The series aims to champion four productions that have been handpicked, road-tested and approved by label-boss Solomun. The ‘Four to the Floor’ EP series is comprised of four different dancefloor-orientated tracks from different producers, from upcoming talents to long-established electronic music artists. 

First up is ‘Zulu’ from Buenos Aires duo Brigado Crew and Argentinian producer Crisstiano. Drawing from their South American roots, ‘Zulu’ is a percussive track with a laidback yet exotic feel thanks to its echoing vocal samples.

Picking up the pace, German duo Adana Twins’ ‘Uncompromising’ features a driving bassline and clattering synths, building up in waves for a series of dramatic drops. 

Next up is Ukrainian duo ARTBAT & French producer Rafael Cerato with ‘Uplift’, a track that slowly builds ambience with flittering synths before plundering into a hefty low end. 

Rounding off the latest edition of ‘Four to the Floor’ is the atmospheric ‘Pretend To Fly’ from Definition. The 7-minute journey features wistful male vocals and distinctive arpeggios leading into the rich basslines characteristic of the Diynamic sound. With a relatively short career span, Definition has already had a slew of releases on Materialism and Underground Audio allowing his support to grow.

Adana Twins - Uncompromising (Original Mix)

Artbat combo is composed by Artur & Vitalli, two ukranian artists whom are doing great and unique electronic music. Maybe you know them by 'Uplift', the track they did together with Rafael Cerato released on Diynamic, but in this debut release on Suara they show their musical palette in three amazing original tracks. 'Trip' has potential to be the track of the night if you play it in the right moment, magic breakdown. 'Knup' reminds of old progressive house tracks with a 21st century feeling and 'Wall' is for powerful sets, a track leaded by a mental arpeggio ready to burn your brain. For remix duties we count on Simon Baker under his nickname B.K.R. with a fat bassline remix of 'Wall' and the mighty Lauer take us to the EBM golden days with an industrial post-punk influenced version of the same track. One of the most mature Suaras releases over the last months.

Mountain - Epic echoes and a resounding tech-heavy rhythm open like a cavern around the beat here, making for a hypnotic style that begs to be replayed again and again. Backed up by vocals blending a subtle mysteriousness and sex appeal, there’s more than plenty to love on this track for anyone.
Grey and White - Keeping the minimalist game high, an eerie spirit permeates this track like a ghost in the best house party imaginable. Frenzied drums, heart-thumping clap effects, and synths on steroids all get plenty of action here, delivering a beast of a song tech heads and festival goers alike can celebrate.

Playing a NYE midnight set alongside with opening for Marco Carola is both challenging and fun. You know you have the freedom to go everywhere and back, right in time to hand off things to the Italian don. I had the chance to sneak in a few classics and all time favourites as well as what recently has been rocking it for me. And they all blended way too well... you just knew the groove is there.
