Towne Folk truly is a collaborative effort with many musicians. Started over a year ago, Towne Folk was born out of necessity. I was writing songs and needed guitar solos. I am not a guitar soloist by any means. I contacted a guitar player friend of mine, and he recorded a nice solo. That got me thinking, hey, how about having someone else lay down a solo for a different song?  Another musician suggested a piano part for one of my songs. To which I said, "Go for it!" I'm sure you see where this is going. Towne Folk is a "virtual" band. I supply a stereo audio file of a song needing “whatever”, and the musician involved will then record their parts using their recording software. They then send the solos back to me via the web. It doesn't matter if they're in the same town or halfway around the world. The songs are purely for the enjoyment of all.
