The 'Hardcore Yearmix 2000' was the first Yearmix that was made by Jason S and it took him another year to get the format right on the 2001 edition. The biggest problem with the 2000 edition was it had too many breaks, the in- and outro were too long and it was not mastered correctly when too much bass was added to the final mix making it sound muddy.
For this re-edited cut the audio got cleaned up with some of the too low bass frequencies removed. All the breaks were also removed and some other edits were made. A new intro was created and the old intro and outro have been removed. Now it plays much more like the other Yearmixes in the series and has a sharp run time of a little over 60 minutes.

Hardcore Yearmix 2000 (the re-edited cut) - mixed by Jason S

The 'Hardcore Yearmix 2004' was released as a double CD on Megarave Records (MR052). The decision to release it on two discs was a commercial one, and not Jason's preferred choice. A two plus hours mix was created and simply cut in two halves for each of the CD's. So the never ending discussion on which CD was the better one was obviously a bit silly, as it was all just one mix. That original 2+ hours version contained 114 tracks from which 3 tracks had to be removed before the release because they did not get cleared.
This new 'the 73 minutes cut' has been cut down from the original version thus it contains the selected 114 tracks. All tracks have been drastically cut down in playing time meaning the mix now plays a lot more like most others in this series.

Hardcore Yearmix 2004 (the 73 minutes cut) - mixed by Jason S

The 'Hardcore Yearmix 2003' was the first yearmix that got released on CD on the label Megarave Records.
The original first version had 102 tracks but two tracks had to be taken out because they could not be cleared for release on CD.
This original version will now see the light of day. A new 'Don't try this at home' segment, which was not included in the original mix, has been added.

Hardcore Yearmix 2003 (the original  cut) - mixed by Jason S

The 'Hardcore Yearmix 2005' was released as a double CD on Megarave Records (MR057) and was dubbed 2005/2006 for commercial reasons. Like the previous year a two plus hours mix was created and simply cut in two halves for each of the two CD's. Some tracks by a DJ from Scotland had to be removed which frustrated Jason to no end since this DJ had personally given these tracks to him, only to refuse clearance for them later. Jason left this DJ a special message at the very end of CD2, which has been removed in this version. Let bygones be bygones right?
This new 'the 75 minutes cut' has been cut down from the original version and it contains all originally selected 124 tracks. All tracks have been drastically cut down in playing time meaning the mix now plays a lot more like most others in this series. The intro takes a jab at another hardcore label that started releasing Hardcore Yearnixes after Jason's 2003 edition hit the shelves.

The 'Hardcore Yearmix 2006' was released as a double CD on Megarave Records (MR065) and was dubbed 2006/2007 for commercial reasons. Like previous years a two plus hours mix was created and simply cut in two halves for each of the two CD's.
This new 'the 80 minutes cut' has been cut down from the original non-stop version. All tracks have been drastically cut down in playing time meaning the mix now plays a lot more like most others in this series. This Yearmix features the most tracks out of all in the series counting a whopping 160 tracks!
