Feeder are an alternative rock group, formed in Newport, Wales in 1991

     Practically swimming in music as a child, Michael Ferentino had already released two independent albums by the time he reached high school. Teaming up with Andres Karu, Michael was lead singer, guitarist, and principle songwriter for Love In Reverse, an electronic rock act that signed a deal with Warner/Reprise. The two subsequent albums, “I Was Here,” produced by Grammy award winner Russ Titelmann, and the self-produced “Words Become Worms” were both critically successful and allowed the band to join some more high-profile tours such as Republica, Stabbing Westward, Gravity Kills, and Ian Astbury (the Cult). In 1998, Michael joined up with Andres again to form Amazing Meet Project, which caught the attention of Clerks director Kevin Smith, in turn leading to score work for the film “A Better Place” in early 2001. Later that year, Michael embarked on a solo career, more acoustic in direction, and toured North America and the U.K. with Miles Hunt, lead singer for the legendary British pop band, the Wonder Stuff. During this period, he released two albums of his “stripped-down-to-Earth” material. In 2003, he switched gears and recorded several independent experimental music recordings under the moniker Bedtime for Robots, an excursion into the dark depths of ambient noise. Inspired by films, noise, and neuroscience, Bedtime for Robots has been oddly self-described as David Lynch wrestling with Brian Eno and the members of Kraftwerk while nearby, little Alice daydreams of her simple life milking cows on the farm before she fell deep, deep down into the rabbit’s hole…and awoke to the sounds of scratchy old children’s records bleeding out creepy little noisescapes.
