This little number brings a lot of percussion to the table, with the early tracks relying on little more than subtle basslines, chopped up vocal pieces dispersed at odd places and  tintillating hi-hats providing push. It follows with warmer, sunnier moods whilst never leaving the energetic drive the first part has hinted at. Listen and enjoy!

JW 06 - Jason Warren - A Monkey With A Miniature Cymbal - 26-02-2013

Producer musician active in several bands in several years as a guitarist, bassist and keyboardist, experiences which combined and applied  to an environment of electronic instruments and noise, have resulted on this proposal with order within chaos and chaos within order.

Florian Herrlicher ist überhaupt kein ausgewiesener Fan davon selbstbeweihräuchernde Texte über sich selbst zu schreiben, da tut er sich echt schwer - aber von Musik, da is er richtig Fan. Liebhaber sogar. Und irgendwie kam's dann zu dieser Dj-Sache. Die findet der Herr Herrlicher auch richtig gut. Da kann er nämlich die ganze Zeit Sachen spielen, die er gern hört und das auch noch auf ner großen Anlage, das ist total super. Wenn dann dabei auch noch andere Leute zuhören, die sich freuen, tanzen, lachen und feiern, dann kann er nicht anders als glücklich und zufrieden zu sein. Denn schön ist, wenn's schön ist! Aus dem Grund lässt sich seine Musik auch nicht so ganz in eine feste Schublade stecken - das is mal schneller, mal langsamer, aber immer groovy, funky manchmal, oder mal verträumt, verrückt darf's gern mal bisschen sein, n anderes mal dafür dann etwas kerniger - so oder so kommt's von Herzen und da darf's bei den anderen gerne landen...

An avid follower of electronic music since the tender age of 14, Jason Warren has seen his fair share of dancefloors. The magic of the spinning wheel grabbed him before long, sending him down to the road to the nearest hi-fi shop in the year 2000 to bring back a brand spanking new set of 1210s and mixer. 13 years and numerous club and radio sets later, he's rocking out to a broad array of fresh beats, ranging from smooth and glitchy deep house to good-humoured and energetic techhouse right over to banging, off-the-wall techno.
