We have 6 members (I know right) who are all amazing musicians and even better friends. We officially started in 2016 and we launched our debut EP titled "Sleep on it" on the 22 February 2017 where we had the most amazing opportunity to work with producer Mike Wright of Zebra and Giraffe. Music has opened so many channels and we have met so many incredible artists from many genres and continue to strive for great quality, home-grown South African music. Local influences include Shortstraw, Desmond and the tutus, Al Bear and Fokofpoliciekar and our influences worldwide are far too many to list.

We're a rock band in between Los Angeles, USA and Johannesburg, SA, with some blues, funk and motown influences. A little different, a lot of soul.

Forefront is an energetic 4-piece indie pop-rock band from the Mother City. They are influenced by the likes of Maroon 5, Shortstraw, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. 

Our music is an unstoppable collision of bouncy rhythms, catchy melodies, and tasty harmonies, drizzled with a little rap and served on a bed of synths.

Beverly Jayne was born in East London, South Africa to a family in love with music. From rocker dad, to concert pianist turned music teacher, gran. She is renowned as a phenomenal performer with a distinctive unique vocal style. Her song writing is powerful, her stage presence is unforgettable. 
Hailed as one of the great female rock singers in South Africa, Beverly Jayne has made her mark fronting SA band Concussion Girl (most noted for the saucy single "Tie me up" featured on worldwide release horror movie).

Having released two albums with Band Concussion Girl, Beverly Jayne is finally recording much anticipated debut solo album. 
This album somehow straddles the line between keeping fresh and feeling strangely reminiscent of the songs that changed the role of women in rock in the early 90's. The lyrics are raw, honest and instantly relatable.
This album has a little bit of everything you used to expect from a hit Rock/Pop album, from the raw rock energy of "Walk Away" to the heart breakingly beautiful love song "By Your Side" and everything in between.

SAMA winning producer Paul McIvers' years of experience producing an impressive variety of music styles (from R&B and hip hop, to alternative, pop rock and gospel)and passion for music are evident on this album.

Gunshot Blue is the culmination of thousands of hours of dedication to craft, a fermentation of many uniquely different, yet strangely familiar stories, distilled, steeped and soaked in folklore and tradition.

A mysterious and hypnotic blend of the gentle, psychedelic infused blues that occasionally meets the explosive high energy, electricity of rock and roll head on.

The band was forged on the road, playing almost every bar, restaurant, hotel, museum, backpackers, lounge, fund raiser, birthday party, park, holiday resort, barber shop, biker rally, music festival and even a prison.

Gunshot Blue is not just a spirited live performance. Gunshot Blue is a rousing psychoactive baptism.

The debut EP “12 396km” saw release November 2014.

January 2019 will see the debut of their first full length album “Until the last prayer” which is out through Gallo.
