Cutting Shapes started on NYE as a set and I finally recorded it at 30000ft travelling north over the western deserts of Western Australia on my way to work(see photo).  While looking out the window, I pondered the dunes and lakes and all the creatures.  Shapes started to appear everywhere. Goannas, birds, faces of the old people carved out of the ancient land by wind rain and heat.  Playing these tune matched the shifts and changes in the landscape as we flew.  I had finished the recording by the time I landed with a moment to spare... into the heat.  I'll leave the town of Broome tomorrow and head out into the flooded desert wilderness with traditional owners.  We are in search of these shapes in their living forms.  Life is great.  I dedicate this mix with love to my baby girl - Aquilla.  Fly high with your feet on the ground my little eagle.

Entelechy's Summer Soiree is an Organic-Afro-Acid-Deep-Minimal-Melodic-Techno-and-House-inspired mix that aims to illuminate the essence of a Sultry Summer Night, an Adventurous Summer day, or anytime higher energy Afro House would be fitting. First performed at a sweet little Soirée in Shawnigan Lake BC Canada, amidst some absolutely wonderful people - it felt a perfect place to explore a more organic soundscape; I'm happy with how it came together! Might be one of my all time faves. Lots of feeling and healing in the making of this one. 

~The Remedy~
We're all united in our humanity
felt in the heart, 
but not always what's seen... 

Can we give it up, all our reasons and rhymes
It's just two sides anyways 
of the same damn coin.

Gay or straight
Christian or Jew
Duality wars meant to confuse

But it's really quite simple
Don't get caught in the trap
Beyond the illusion, is Love, and we ALL simply that.

It's time to get real
And live the truth of who we are
One in the same, in a world still at war.

Should the barrel of a gun look us in the eye
How will we reason
Time spent in denial.

We can't pretend our pain away
Trust me, I've tried
It doesn't work that way. 

So please listen 
When we say
Love is the only way.

And it begins
By going within
Healing the wounds that cause division.

And when we do this inside job
The outer world
Will start to solve. 

So while we grieve through life's tragedies
Be love,
It's the remedy.
