Sterling Jones and Paul Lesley make up "A Number of Names." Their track "Shari Vari" was the first Techno track to be released out of Detroit in early 1981. Electrifying Mojo along with Detroit staff writer Jim McFarlin named the group "A Number of Names." 
 I actually heard about this while listening to a J-Rocc  (LA Hip-Hop DJ) mix, and he spelled out what track it was. Really dope considering the time it came out.

“No Cigar” is a track that didn’t make it onto 2023’s 5 Songs, which was, technically, five songs, so there wasn’t room. It’s a pokey, plonky bit of dance music from Shit Robot (aka Marcus Lambkin), made with Joe Goddard and Al Doyle at their RAE Studios in London.

It sounded… dubby. Like “what if Adrian Sherwood got his hands on this?” dubby. So we asked. And he said yes!

The b-side is classic Sherwood at the controls—a version that’s not fully exploded, but submerged, warped, a little demented. We’re honored and still hearing crazy new sounds every time we play it.

Passed this edit to David from Soulwax the minute it was finished; they put it straight onto their Radio 1 Essential Mix, (aka "50,000,000 Soulwax Fans Can't Be Wrong"). A bunch of labels got very excited & tried to clear it for release but no love from Phil Oakey. Original tracks are Martini Bros. "Big & Dirty" and League Unlimited Orchestra "Things That Dreams Are Made Of".
