A globally respected and highly accomplished artist, label boss at the seminal Hot Creations, founder and curator of the worldwide Paradise event series and member of cross-genre band Hot Natured, Jamie Jones has achieved iconic status in the electronic music world. A trendsetter and seasoned tastemaker, the Welsh dance music superstar pioneered his own distinct sound, drawing on his deep knowledge and experience to cultivate DJ sets that weave through a range of diverse, complementary styles selected to energise and enchant the dance floor.

Kevin Doherty – DJ & Producer (Bipolar Disco)

Kevin Doherty, a DJ and producer from Belfast, first made a name for himself in the house and progressive scenes, with his track "Lifeline" featuring Amba Shepherd. After stepping back from music to focus on family, he reconnected with his early love for techno, especially the sounds of Detroit techno that initially inspired him.

Drawing from the influences of Detroit techno pioneers like Derrick May, Juan Atkins, and Kevin Saunderson, Kevin has now launched his new project, Bipolar Disco. With Bipolar Disco, he dives into the darker, more hypnotic side of techno, while still incorporating modern production techniques. The result is a sound that blends driving basslines, industrial grooves, and atmospheric elements, offering something both fresh and familiar.

This new direction reflects Kevin’s personal and artistic growth. Bipolar Disco is all about pushing boundaries, and Kevin is excited to share his evolving sound with listeners.

Simon Sheldon has been dabbling with bleeps and beats since buying a Mono synth at the age of ten, at 16 Simon ‘worked’ in the Pink Museum studio in Liverpool with artists like OMD, Echo and the Bunnymen and with influential producers like Michael Hass (808 State & Primal Scream).  leaving the Pink Museum to study fine art and meeting more like minded souls was where his musical education expanded. Playing Stakka with Pink Floyd and LFO with Spaceman 3 and just loving and living music, dj’ing and jamming to the small hours night after night was the foundation for all that followed.   

On his arrival to Belfast a few years later Simon formed prolific live act Solaris. A couples of remixes  and releases later, Simon alongside Suzanne Savage formed Spree and since then Spree have established themselves as players within the national drum and bass scene.

Their debut release on the stellar Aspect Records and further releases have received plays and praise from the likes of Ray Keith to LTJ  Bukem.

With their first live performance supporting London Elektricty, only a few years later Spree found themselves voted in the last three of the Best Live act category of the Knowledge Magazine Awards, up against London Elektricity and I Kamanchi. Spree also won 1xtra Homegrown winner with Watari released on Basic Records and also won a innovative writing award via the performing writing society. 

 Performing live in the UK in support mode alongside Roni Size, Jazzanova, Kosheen, Daara J and Giles Peterson, headlining a number of events across Europe, Central Asia and the U S A, plus playing the highly regarded Jazz World Stage at Glastonbury have all added to the pedigree and development of a unique representative of Irish electronica. 

The blistering live show has a fluid line up fronted by the majestic Suzanne Savage and MC Kat aka Catherine Nugent, with French Tony on bass, Lewis Smith on saxophone, Joel Byrnne McCullough on Guitar and Miximoto NI turntable champion Karl F on decks, the music is characterised by gritty vocals, old school piano breaks, tight drum programming, improv jazzid horns and turntablist hocus pocus.

While writing, performing and dj'ing as Spree Simon also has collaborated with many artist including Bellcrash and Quentin Kane.  A chance meeting of like minded souls Simon met Quentin Kane, brought together by their love of soulful music and in particular House music the pair took ten years before getting in the studio with each other and they haven't looked back since. Quentin and Simon have had plays and praise for house don's from DJ Spen to Dave Clarke and Studio 54 resident Kenny Carpenter to Detroit legend James Pennington. With releases backing up and a new live show on the horizon I think we may be seeing a bit more of Quentin and Simon.
