Technicality Sessions returns with with a bang! M_A brings us 45mins of back-to-back heaters. 

The Shrewsbury native is no stranger to the scene. She began her journey young at just 14, inspired by the listening's of her older sister. The inspirations led to a deep delve into all things drum and bass.
M_A managed drumandbasics.com alongside Jenny Jo for 8 years, a journey which took her around the country hitting up everything from stages to the soundwaves.

Having previously hosted on the Bailey Show, M_A is back with her own fortnightly slot on Unity, alongside an appearance on Stateside later this month.

Bass Scoops Radio in conversation with Joel Harrison, the artist currently known as Drumskull. Joel has been on the Bass Scoops interview wish list since the beginning. To my shame I didn’t know about his earlier work under his own name until I started doing the deep research into the Drumskull back catalog but wow what a discovery to make. You know when you hear a dance track that feels just right for the floor, check out Joels work and hear what I’m ranting about. Objectively this shouldn’t be a surprise as through the Drumskull releases you can hear an artist that knows his song writing chops, this isn’t just technical ability on a DAW, it’s proper musicianship applied to modern bass music.
In this interview we get to hear about Joel’s musical roots, his own label bitd and his  return to the scene as part of the top tier of modern uk bass  music and oh yeah, we talk about skateboarding  too!

We've been watching Tellus for a while and we're big fans of the projects he's involved in, whether as a solo artist, co-founder of the Locked Concept imprint or one part of the recent 3VS project alongside Akuratyde and Monika. Naturally then we were really pleased when he agreed to record us a Dojo guest mix!

We're glad to return with a new episode of United Nutz Podcast # 3: Omni Music Special 🚀🥁🎶🔊

In the first 30 minutes of the show Mercury Man will drop some of his favorite Omni Music tunes. Right after that you have a chance to get lost in 2+ hour-long deep atmospheric journey through the sounds of Omni Music, mixed by the label owner himself - the one and only Chris Wright aka Eschaton 🔥

The first Eschaton release: "Eclipse / The Singularity" came out on SC: Digital in September 2008. Since 2008 Chris Eschaton has produced 16 full length solo releases (albums, LP's, etc), 1 album in collaboration with Parallel, 3 LP's in collaborations with Sky Residents, Enjoy and Foci's Left, not to mention other Singles, EP's and remixes. In 2013 Chris also released his early experimental Drum & Bass tracks from the 2002-2007 era on Omni Music (Eschaton - Primordial Data LP). Besides hearing him on Omni Music, you can also find Eschaton releases on SC: Digital, Digibeat Music, Pinecone Moonshine, Homework, Uncertified Music, MATERIALIZM, Black Hoe Recordings, Black Hoe Alimony, Advection Music, Audio Theory Records and Subtle Audio Recordings.

The first Omni Music release: "Eschaton - Quantum 1 (Quantization)" was released in February 2011. Nowadays, the Omni Music discography counts 76 full length releases (albums, LP's, etc), 200 EP's, and the 200th was released earlier today (check the link: https://omnimusic.bandcamp.com/album/living-dreams-ep) and a lot of Singles. So, any Jungle and Drum & Bass music lover can surely find something on Omni Music to suit his / her musical taste.

Louise Plus One & Hughesee have both been DJ’S since the 90’s.  

They play vinyl sets representing music from the years of 87-95 and beyond representing a wide range of styles including  Acid House, Techno, Breakbeat Hardcore, Jungle Techno and Jungle/DnB.
Over the years they have played at events such as Freekuency Festival (Portugal), Rupture, Mash Up The Dance (Brick Lane), Jungle Syndicate, Live Evil, Calling The Hardcore, West Yorkshire Jungle Collective, Originate, Spectral Breaks and Deeper Understanding/LWT parties in London. 

Louise and Simon host Distant Planet events together in London on a regular basis which consist of warehouse all night parties at The Venue M.O.T in South Bermondsey and also run daytime family friendly events at the Fox & Firkin in Deptford and the Royal Sovereign pub in Hackney. 

Distant Planet also captures video sets from their nights which are available to watch on their Youtube channel and also host live streams showcasing the best of the Distant Planet DJ’s. Recently during the lockdown they  have been representing Distant Planet by taking part in live streams from  Venue MOT and The Fold London as well as their own streams which have great lineups with many of their Distant Planet regular DJs.
