Organic Tunes kick off on a fine footing with a new single from boss man The Organism featuring a big remix from Far&High.

Orion is the name of the tune and is a bubbly techno roller with a dark vocal loop layered over the top of the groove. Synths shoot through the mix to bring light and energy and the whole thing is sure to get clubs marching as one.

Far&High remix it into a dark disco vibe, with spangled chords and twisted synths pranging about the mix. It is a tense, involving tune that soars ever higher and will make any floor take off.

This is a big and bold start to what is sure to be a great new label.

Red Bull Music Academy graduate Habischman has released his lush, stylish and atmospheric techno on labels like Knee Deep In Sound, Moda Black, and SCI+TEC. High-profile support has come from Artbat, Tale of Us, Nicole Moudaber, and BBC Radio 1, and now he continues to hone his craft with ever more devastating melodies, lasting emotions, and the sort of widescreen, adventurous deep techno grooves that leave you in awe. The deeply emotive 'Senses' opens up and shows the artist's knack for crafting catchy but classy melodies. Here, he layers them over a sleek techno groove that journeys to the stars and eventually meets a second bright and soulful melody line. Once they come together, they begin to sing in harmony and send shivers tingling down your spine as the supple beats roll on. Then comes the gorgeous 'Freefall', which is about an angel who falls in love with someone and both have to leave their own worlds in order to be together. It's a richly detailed and cinematic techno offering that captures a real sense of love- struck longing. The angelic vocals are spellbinding as the beats build and the serene chords wash over you time and time again to teary-eyed effect.

This is a pair of truly artful techno tracks that make an indelible impression.

PREMIERE: Habischman - Freefall (Brian Cid Remix) [Eklektisch]

The Bolivian producer Zairi Torrez returns to Transensations with two great themes on the “Soul Deep” EP, including reinterpretations by Canato and JoC H. "Soul Deep" marks the dance floor with a groove that warms over the course of the track while new motifs add subtle layers of emotion. Canato reshapes the track with his peculiar texture and melody, imprinting his sound signature. Delta Piscium is a powerful, deep progressive gem on a bed of crisp percussive rhythms with a touch of a vocal running throughout intertwines with pads and sonics to weave a personal journey towards the stratosphere. JoC H debuts on the label with a powerful adaptation for this theme. Definitely a must-have for those who enjoy the exotic sounds and textures of deep and progressive house.

Release Info: 
Rising from the storied history of Movement is a new concept imprint 'Ãstrαλ'. Meaning 'of the stars' - Astral Records can be thought of an ecstatic, mystical out-of-body experience, wherein the spiritual traveller leaves the physical body and travels in an astral body onto 'higher' realms. A fitting description for the musical blueprint of the label which looks to showcase the best in contemporary melodic house and techno.

Holding down the AandR duties is long-time Movement Recordings artist Paul Anthonee who has been operating at the heart of the genre since it's early beginnings. In addition to an extensive history with the Greek imprint, the Cyprus based producer has also showcased his music via Beatfreak Recordings, Lost On You, Parquet, Steyoyoke and Suara. It seems only fitting then that Astral's inaugural release comes courtesy of Paul himself who presents his most anticipated project to date 'A Word Beyond'.

Spread across four tracks it's the mystical, peak time vibes of 'Cukan' which sets the tone for the release. Bulbous beats, charged rhythms and striking effects begin the seven minute journey. Senses heighten as choir-like pads and atmospheric swells unite across a devilish first act. Heady modulation delights throughout the main break, flowing through a stimulating band of quirky hooks and unpredictability, before rising to a gaseous crescendo and driving final movement.

Continuing with the cosmic ethos of the EP is the more emotive yet equally powerful 'Matterna'. Anchored by a tight, rippling groove the energy is palpable from the outset. Ethereal phrasing and fiery percussion deliver dynamic moments early, as timely effects add depth and a rare ravey tension. Carrying into the second act, the otherworldly lead descends over a cavernous centrepiece, elevating mood before a wave of effects launches you into euphoria's top floor.

Marking the release's halfway point is the commanding 'Virgo'. Built on a backbone of tough beats and a crunchy groove, its ghostly nature is alluring from the start. Tranquil yet energetic, fragmented melodies and percussive flurries add dynamic splashes as momentum builds across the first act. The narrative shifts during the break with a further lean into ethereal territory, bringing arcane moments, before a timely drop transfers energy into an exhilarating finale. Adding further complement to its predecessor's is the final selection 'Kamara' with it's enlightening, psychedelic presence.

Another heady creation from Paul which not only aims squarely at the dance floor but rounds out the first Astral offering in fine style, with early support by BLANCAh, EdOne, Paul Angelo and Don Argento, Nohak, ao. Don't miss it.
