Rahaan & Mr Mendel teamed up for a night of underground disco and house at BAR, Rotterdam. Two generations of DJ's, from Chicago and Amsterdam, spinning back2back all night long!

Sadar Bahar's dreams are captured in grooves. After years and years of digging deep for records, the Chicagoan built a collection that's too big to fit in his house. Although he has collected more records than he could possibly play, his search doesn't stop, and drops by our store from time to time to see dig the racks.

Bahar got into the music scene in the early '80s, with childhood friend, Charles Brekenridge, who introduced him to the mixing game and taught him how to blend records. Later, Frankie Knuckles showed him the magic of the dance floor. During this time, Chicago was filled with DJ’s who played house and disco sounds. However, Sadar chose a different direction - playing rare & hard-to-find grooves. It is an honor to present this mix, that features a selection picks found in the RH store racks on the day.

Recorded "LIVE" on Easter Sunday, 2019 - Here's a nice long (just under 5 hours) taste from what was a beautiful 8 hour journey of sensational music curated on the fly by the super combo of GE-OLOGY and RED GREG (both amazing in their own right), whose individual and combined music knowledge, chemistry, insane record collections, and masterful DJ skills WOW'd the Selectors Stage audience at DEKMANTEL a few years ago when they first paired up to play back-to-back. Ever since, it's been a treat to see these guys team up on a few more occasions...and the 6th birthday celebration for the FEVER 105 crew was no exception! Pure musical bliss....enjoy!

Some Chicago disco royalty rolling through on the SB Guest mix series this morning... @Rahaan has been spinning house and disco since the 80’s and has amassed a truly enviable music collection in that time. 

He has also been earning plaudits for his production skills with some truly outstanding releases. Recently he has released on some key labels including Lumberjacks In Hell, Street Edits and Dopeness Galore. His tracks are steeped in dancefloor groove, music made by a DJ with the sole intention of moving that floor. So get the mix on for the next hour and a bit and let those sunny vibes wash over you.
