Natty Dub Recordings present a brand new venture in the form of Wrong Turn. A label set up to showcase the talents of producers on an experimental tip where beats come hard and basslines take you on a totally different journey.

Trakker takes top spot with release 001, a double A sided selection in the form of ‘Ghosted’ and ‘Praying Mantis’. Two hard hitting beats for your ear that are nothing short of murky, sub influenced grot. By no means are we talking jump up or rollers here. These are, in some respects, a blast from the past and some may well remember the term ‘darkside’. That’s both of these tracks in a nutshell.

‘Ghosted’ runs that popular horror theme to the fullest with short, nasty bassline stabs that could easily mimic 100 one finger salutes for the reload. It’s wonkey, offbeat snare pattern does as intended, chugging along at a nice steady pace to shuffle to. Flip over and ‘Praying Mantis’ has, as expected, a crafty little nod to kung fu B movies. Mix in some modulated bass notes that seem to melt all over the place and you have yourself another staple darkside banger. Nice to see elements of the riffs develop over time too!

Stick your bloody head down and get into this.

He's been in the Jungle DNB scene for a whopping 20 years and gone under many names in the past: ADK, Nifty and Sulako to name a few, but after taking a small break he returned to production in 2017 under the new alias Conrad Subs and quickly established himself as a rising talent in the scene.

Fast forward a few years and Subs now has a wealth of Dancefloor classics in his discography, from the massive ‘Leave Dem’ on Nuusic, the irrepressible ‘Dance’ on his own MAAD TING! imprint. JAXX -  Train Recordings Radio Show (2020 Episode 10)

35 year old Hertfordshire based Drum & Bass DJ, Producer and Label owner of Train Recordings - Jack Rance aka “Jaxx” is known for his full impact dancefloor music and DJ sets. His journey started from early where he learned to play guitar & bass from the age of 12, growing up and around 15 he found himself listening to tape and CD packs from the likes of Mampi Swift, Bryan Gee, DJ Hype and the Full Cycle crew which lit the fire for his love of Drum & Bass. From the young age of 18, Jaxx started to go raving which further cemented his decision to devote his time and energy to this culture. Jaxx bought his first set of turntables at the age of 19 and began honing his skills and talents as a DJ, which has allowed to him play in various places throughout the UK & Europe. Shortly after, he moved onto music production and quickly developed his own unique style which has gained support throughout the scene to date from the likes of DJ Hype, Rene Lavice (BBC Radio 1), Logan D, Break and Bladerunner to name some. At the end of 2012 he started Train Recordings which to date has had over 60 releases and the tracks are gaining a lot of support across the scene from industry heavyweights. In 2016, Jaxx officially joined the Natty Dub Recordings roster after releasing the collaborative remix of Cabin Fever’s “Make Your Move” alongside Illphaze, and the monster track ‘Persepolis”. Since then he has delivered a whole bunch of singles and EP's for the label plus a string of colab releases.
In 2024 like always he is working hard in the studio on a regular basis and has a number of releases on labels such as Grid Recordings, Colab Recordings, Murky Digital & more.
