Bio auf Deutsch weiter unten. CONFUSEN is not friendly techno. It is a masked problem that shows up in dark rooms, hits hard, then disappears like nothing happened. Black hood, black layers, straight chrome bar instead of a face. No logo, no smile, no “how are you guys tonight”. You do not get a personality. You get a threat behind the decks.

No one really knows where CONFUSEN comes from. Some say a desert city in the US, a boring small town in the UK, or a concrete tower somewhere in Asia. Nobody can prove anything. The only solid clue is the sound. Tracks that feel like they were written by someone who spent too many nights in clubs and got tired of soft, polite sets. Heavy kicks, rude low end, sharp hats, almost no melody. Long tension, long blends, drops that land without warning and do not ask for your opinion.

The name comes from a simple idea. A beat so hypnotic it can make you lose track of time, people and sense. CONFUSEN is that state. On stage, the project keeps it strict. Walk in, plug in, lock the room into a fast, mental groove, walk out. No speeches, no crowd games, no fake personality for social media. Only a moving wall of sound for late night dancers who still want their techno to feel like a risk, not a product.

Debut releases like “Tied Up” set the tone. Fast, hypnotic, vocal driven, always with a dark and controlled pressure in the low end. CONFUSEN lives between warehouse, bunker and afterhours. If you want friendly background music, look somewhere else.

CONFUSEN ist kein freundlicher Techno. Es ist ein maskiertes Problem, das in dunklen Räumen auftaucht, hart trifft und wieder verschwindet, als wäre nichts gewesen. Schwarze Kapuze, schwarze Schichten, eine gerade Chromstange statt eines Gesichts. Kein Logo, kein Lächeln, kein "How are you guys tonight". Hier gibt es keine Persönlichkeit. Nur eine Bedrohung hinter den Decks.

Niemand weiß wirklich, wo CONFUSEN herkommt. Manche sagen eine Wüstenstadt in den USA, eine langweilige Kleinstadt im Vereinigten Königreich oder ein Betonturm irgendwo in Asien. Beweisen kann es niemand. Der einzige klare Hinweis ist der Sound. Tracks, als wären sie von jemandem geschrieben, der zu viele Nächte in Clubs verbracht hat und weiche, höfliche Sets satt hat. Schwere Kicks, freche Tiefen, scharfe Hi Hats, fast keine Melodie. Lange Spannung, lange Blends, Drops, die ohne Vorwarnung einschlagen und nicht nach deiner Meinung fragen.

Der Name kommt aus einer einfachen Idee. Ein Beat so hypnotisch, dass man Zeit, Menschen und Orientierung verliert. CONFUSEN ist genau dieser Zustand. Auf der Bühne bleibt das Projekt streng. Reinkommen, einstecken, den Raum in einen schnellen, mentalen Groove sperren, wieder verschwinden. Keine Reden, keine Spielchen mit dem Publikum, keine falsche Persönlichkeit für Social Media. Nur eine wandernde Wand aus Sound für Nachttänzer, die wollen, dass ihr Techno sich wie ein Risiko anfühlt, nicht wie ein Produkt.

Debüt Releases wie "Tied Up" geben den Ton vor. Schnell, hypnotisch, von Vocals getragen, immer mit dunklem und kontrolliertem Druck im Low End. CONFUSEN lebt zwischen Warehouse, Bunker und Afterhour. Wer freundliche Hintergrundmusik sucht, muss woanders schauen.
