Calico born Danny Chappell was born in Belton Texas. He grew up listening to groups like Getto Boys,UGK,Street Military,Dogg Pound,2 pac,Dj Screw. He was born into music. He was inspired by his uncle who was a producer and song writer. He grew up in the poor part of the city and turned his poems into lyrics. In 2003 he started producing his on songs and his first album under his own label was a street success. Since then he has opened up for Yung Joc, MIMS and Chyna White. In 2007 Calico had the number 1 most requested song on Sa_urban news out of San,antonio tx. He has been on mixtapes hosted by Chamilion,Trae and Paul Wall. Today he is still working hard with his label"Rawlife Entertainment".
