This mix is dedicated to Scott Henry, the DJ has been the driving influence throughout my DJ career. Coming up as a young DJ in DC during the mid to late 90’s, Scott Henry was the unmistakable leader in the DC and Baltimore scene running the two most successful dace parties; Buzz at Nations Ballroom in Washington DC and Fever at the Paradox in Baltimore.  Scott was best known for his closing late night/early morning sets and his Fever mixtape series which can be found on Soundcloud, Mixcloud, and Youtube today.  I hope I have captured a bit of his sound and can motivate others to seek out his mixes and discover the music that inspired him. Every record in this mix is available digitally at Beatport and each track can be traced back to one of Scott’s Fever mixtapes, commercial CD mixes, or live rave mixtapes.

This one is pretty old school, like 1991 old school.  Not the type of music you'd expect from the names.  This is what Underground Dance Music sounded like when I first got into it around 1990/ 1991.  Listening to this today, it sounds very different than it did in 1990.  Back then it was cutting edge, new, fresh music that changed the music industry forever, all the way up to the artists setting the trends of today.
