PTD Rotobone pedal, played conservatively..... as a kind of overdrive pedal.
since this isn't a professional demo clip, the pedal is always "on"; the amp was set very close to "clean".

The work is in two movements - Fraying and Prolonged. The first presents a sonic object that gradually disintegrates. The second reframes this object and slows it down, so that the process of decay is frozen, and the object appears almost immortal. The work grew out of reflections on 1 Corinthians 15 and Jiang Zhi's Love Letters (2014). In Jiang Zhi's photographs, flowers are on fire, but are not harmed by the flames.

This track is part of the Disquiet Junto 474: Police Action.  The assignment was to complete a trio by adding a track to an existing duet by two other musicians.  The duet was chosen from the previous week's Junto 473.

I put the track I chose, "Paper Jam" byTorsten Goerke and Benjamin_D, into the granular iPad apps Spacecraft and Borderlands Granular.  I played along, two passes with each app, and mixed everything in Ableton Live with a little Auto Filter and Filter Delay.

Granular Paper Jam w/ Torsten Goerke & Benjamin_D (disquiet0474)

Disquiet Junto Project 0475: Low End (4 of 3). The Assignment: Remix a trio by doing forensics on its component parts.

When I heard some results from disquiet0472, I had instantly some favourites, but choose to go on with a RNG track. This time I ignored some rules by going back to the tracks from disquiet0472, where I had considered to build on https://soundcloud.com/noimspartacus/orphaned-loop-disquiet0472?in=disquiet/sets/disquiet-junto-project-0472 (very minimalistic) and https://soundcloud.com/k-blamo/recording93disquiet0472 (just awesome), and by accident I this time stumbled upon https://soundcloud.com/anotherbenjamin/disquiet0472-paper-jam?in=disquiet/sets/disquiet-junto-project-0472 (great theme).

All sound sources come from these three tracks.  I started with cutting out loops, went on to looping in Ableton, exported to stems and mixed in reaper. I was not pleased with the harmonica loop from Ableton (all loops were triggered by probabilities) and remixed the cutouts in GleetchlabX and added the results. Then I added the usual reverbs and fx.
